We have never been on a cruise before, but have heard great things about the Disney Cruise! Any ballparks on what it would cost for a family of 2 adults and a 10 year old child for a 4 night cruise? We're looking at mid-March timeframe, and will be in Orlando already, so we dont' need to include transportation to Orlando.

Also, besides the basic cost, what other expenses can you expect to incur.

Thanks in advance!

:cool1: Alright a fellow canadian :wave2:

To give you a guideline on prices visit the www.disneycruise.com. Of course prices don't include airfare and are in US Dollars.

As for other expenses things like pictures taking on board by disney staff are a must and will run you about 200cdn for about 20 shots...well worth it.
:confused3 There is no CANADIAN BEER on board so you'll have to settle for Bud light or Import and that'll run you about 3 or 4 us dollars a beer.

If you plan to take any excursions on the stopoffs, they usually vary between 60 to 130 dollars US of course per person.

Souven-ears, as disney calls them are a must. The Mickey Mouse antena balll is exclusive to disneycruise and you will not find it anywhere else.
They also an assortment of cruiseline dolls, clothing, pens etc....

And last but not least...THE TIP....there is the about 4 staff members to tip and the costs are about 25$ per staff member per person for a 7 day cruise. Not sure what it is for a 4 day cruise. Those guidelines are also on the web site.

The good things you've heard about disneycruiseline are true. There is nothing else like it. The food is great the staff is great and the shows will bring you to tears. It is an experience that everyone should experience once in their life. It is truly a voyage made of dreams :wizard:

And don't forget at least one spa treatment! Ahhhh. Will be around a hundred for each adult for that.

Here's a thread that covers most items available for purchase once on board. Mine is the last post and I started to accumulate everything that I could think of and had read from other people. There is one item that is not on my list and thats Laundry There are self serve laundrimats and you can send some of your clothes out to the ships laundry for cleaning and pressing.

Heres another post where the question was asked: What is a reasonable amount to spend while on a cruise? If you start reading this thread and get to where someone spent several thousand dollars, keep going and others will tell you how they spent only a hundred dollars over and above gratuities!!

Thank you for the info!

I'll take a look at the threads too. I did a search, but wasn't exactly sure what words to put in to get what I was looking for.

This is great!!
