Does anyone know if I can pay the differance and do a dinner? We are not breakfast eaters at all. Would love to do lunch or dinner!! Any suggestions?

Well, if you don't want the 'free' character breakfast, which would give you more options of where to go, then you only have 2 choices for a character dinner: Ariel's Grotto in DCA (all Princesses, usually about 4 or 5 there at one time, it seems), which offers menu ordering, and Goofy's Kitchen in the Disneyland Hotel (features regulars Goofy, Chip, Dale, Baloo, Pluto, sometimes Minnie, usually a Princess or two but you don't know which two until you get there, sometimes Alice and the Mad Hatter, sometimes Captain Hook and the Genie, etc.), which is an all-you-can-eat buffet.

Ariel's also serves lunch (menu). Goofy's sometimes closes at noon and sometimes closes at 2:00 p.m., but they technically just serve breakfast/brunch items up to that time, and then they open again for dinner later. The other character meals - Minnie & Friends, Storytellers Critter Breakfast and Lilo and Stitch - all stop serving breakfast sometime by noon because they have to go back to 'regular restaurant,' non-character, operations for the rest of the day.

I'm trying to remember what that voucher looked like....drat, it's been too long to remember if that optoin was possible.

Is it the time for b'fast that gets you, or the food options? If it's just the time, book one of the last times for the b'fast, so it's more like a brunch to you. If it's breakfast type food that you don't like, well, I don't have any ideas.

Our voucher does not offer an option. I suppose it would be up to the place you choose.

We like hitting Goofy's Kitchen about 1 hour or 1 1/2 hours before it closes for breakfast. That would be about 1030-1100 PS time during the week. We've had the best character interaction at that time, and we considered it lunch. They had breakfast items, but they also had mac/cheese, pizza and salads. Of course, there is also the desserts. Just my 2 cents.

In Jan 2008, we converted the breakfast to a dinner at Ariel's Grotto and paid the difference. I'm not sure what my wife did, but she arranged it in advance. So, I would call Costco Travel and ask to do the same.

Good luck!
