Can anyone tell me if our UK membership at Costco will work in America?

Yes- we went there last week, but bear in mind that they do not take credit cards only certain debit cards and cash.

We usually call at Costco on the way to the airport and stock up on some bargains (I usually find it excellent for activity books for the kids to use on the plane) and fill up with petrol. The gas prices there are usually very reasonable.

I seem to recall that they accepted American Express, which I know is different to UK Costco, but they might have changed that or my memory might be failing me.

Yep, as others have said its on South Orange Blossom Trail.

We bought a laptop there this year and they cover the warranty worldwide, we could even return it to Leeds where we are members if we had a problem.

Customer service is second to none and they also do hearing aids if you need one after all the screeming on the rides.

We got a mp3 player from South Orange Blossom Trail and it started to play up when we got home took it to costco birmingham they swaped with no problems

Yes they did take American Express at the one on Orange Blosson Trail, It is also possible to use UK Maestro cards
