Can you add vacation insurance later to a package or you have to get it the day you book it? The last 2 vacations I ended up in the ER with my little one and I am nervous because I want to fly this time and want to be covered. anybody use the insurance. Any better options out there over what is offered by Disney travel?

If you look you can find other insurance. There is a sucker born every minute and there is someone looking to profit from them.

There's lot of trip insurance discussions over on the DCL board.

People seem to like getting comparison quotes from insuremytrip.com

The main difference with not booking the insurance at the same time as your trip means that preexisting conditions are not covered if one books later, which can be a negotiable part of the insurance depending on who you buy from.

However, I'm not a great expert as I've never found it worth our while to buy it as we have good medical coverage through DH's employer, and I figure if we can't afford to lose the cost of the trip itself we probably shouldn't be taking it in the first place. Many people find trip insurance useful though.
