Costco Travel Package... pick up at hotel

I got an email from Costco/Walt Disney Travel Company that our package including tickets will not be mailed to us but instead will be at our hotel. Is this something new they are now doing?

No big deal I guess except I won’t get to rock the luggage tag included with the package.

I received this email. What it sounded like to me was that all 2018 packages would do this. Kinda sucks. Is it saving them like 20 bucks?

Oh, that's kind of a bummer. It's so fun to get that package and look through it...and use the luggage tags! On the other hand, it might be safer than sending it through the mail, but for people like me who would worry that it wouldn't be at the hotel when I arrive, it's one more thing to stew about

I have used Costco Travel several times now and have requested the package stuff be at the hotel. It is always there and just as exciting as when it is mailed.

I just booked a Costco travel package last night and all of the confirmation emails and such said that it would be mailed to me. I'm in Oklahoma and this is for a trip in November.

I booked recently and the confirm says:

Delivery of Tickets
If you are arriving 8 days or more from today, documents are sent via express service and require a signature for delivery. If you are arriving 7 days or less from today, you will pick up your documents at the hotel.

For our first proper Disneyland trip we did a Costco package. It was also my HS 20 year reunion so we were leaving early and driving down. I was stressed about it arriving in time.

We stopped at the mall on our way out of town and I brought the whole package in with me rather than leave it in the car. And I left it just sitting on the counter at radio shack. We realized it a few miles down the road. I nearly hyperventilated.

Thankfully it was still sitting there when I got back.

Having it waiting at the resort would be a beautiful thing for me.

I just booked ours on Sunday and they said our paperwork would be at the hotel. Personally, I like this way more as there have been plenty of times I have missed delivery on our package because we weren't there to sign for it. This is the first time I have had it this way. We also took a trip in August (and January) of 2017 and they were mailed so this is clearly a recent change.

Same. Our last trip in August we booked through Costco and everything was sent via mail.

Did you guys see the “email from Disney” thread? Seems this is coming from Disney and isn’t just a Costco thing.

So I just checked my reservation (for a trip in November) now that it's all paid off, and it says the documents will be at the hotel. Strange.

I'm just a regular WDTC package and my understanding is that documents will be provided at check-in. I'm OK with this because I've had to take a day off just to be home to receive my pacakge documents due the requirement of a signature, and taking time off at the end of the school year is difficult. In my current job, I could just have it delivered to my work, but sometimes the office is a little busy and I'd hate for them to misplace it...
