Costco Real Estate Programs

Has anyone used the Costco programs for real estate transactions. It seems you get substantial cash back after a sale or purchase if you use the agent recommended after requesting the service via their website. If we did it for both sale and purchase it appears we'd receive close to $7000 back a few weeks after closing.

For those who have used the program did it really work as anticipated? Were you happy with the agent they referred you to? Do you know what companies they generally work with?

No, but I'm a realtor. I think that you might be better served by interviewing several realtors and just seeing who you are most compatible with. It is such a big purchase and I would rather know that my realtor really wants to help me find the home that is best for me and will work hard to do it. Plus, I would want to feel confident that the realtor will help me negotiate the best price possible on a property (which may ultimately be a better price that saves you money.) Why not see if you can interview a realtor through the Costco program and interview at least two other realtors before making a decision.
