Costco Rates down on rentals....great deal in Phoenix

I currently have a reservation for $327.XX for 11 days picking up at Sky Harbor in June. Taxes there are horrible and I know that is a decent rate from previous rentals. That rate is with National.

I just did a weekly check...yes I am crazy! Using Budget through Costco and coupon they applied I am now sitting at $304 for a Ford Fusion or similar.

At this time I have both booked- will keep watching and rebook/cancel as needed. Will cancel one before we leave.

This is cheaper than picking up offsite and returning to the airport which is usually what we end up doing.

Thanks for posting this! They don't seem to have gone down for me but we are there over Memorial weekend.

Not sure how you feel about the KLM code, but currently I have the mid size reserved from 5/20-5/27 (hoping for something bigger in the Emerald Aisle) for $238. Other than Dollar (I have an Altima for $187) I haven't seen anything better than the KLM code. The Dollar rates have skyrocketed the past couple weeks.

Phoenix lowers rates on everything once the heat starts rising.....our tourist season has been going strong since last fall......but the temps will soon be unbearable and tourists stay away so prices fall.

Memorial Day is still pretty big around here....but it's pretty much the end of the decent weather so after that things will start to drop.
