Does anyone know the current price to rent boats or watermice at the Contemporary or other resort? Also, can you still pay a certain amount to rent for the length of your stay? I remember two years ago we paid something like $185 for the length of stay. It was great! My teenagers went out on watermice almost every day. Also, if you are staying at a different resort (Pop Century) can you rent the water mice at the Contemporary?

TIA

approximate costs are listed below:
Canopy Boats accommodate up to 8 adults. $25/half-hour.
Pontoon Boats Accommodate up to 10 adults.
$34.90/half-hour.
Water Mice and Sea Raycers accommodate 1 or two passengers
$20.75/half-hour. Combined maximum weight limit for all passengers is
320 pounds. All drivers under the age of 18 MUST have a parent or legal
guardian sign a release. Drivers 18 years of age must provide ID with
birth date.
Reservations are not required.

The Captain’s Plan is for 4 hours at the cost of $133.13. During this time
you have unlimited use of the boats and bikes at the various marinas on
property. You don’t have to be staying on property to use this plan. There
is no maximum family size, but everyone in the party will need to be present
when signing up to sign the waiver.

The Family Plan is for the length of your stay, up to 10 days, for up to 5
people. The cost for this is $254.54 and also provides you unlimited boat
and bike rental. All family members all need to be present when signing up
so they can sign the waiver. For this plan you must be a guest of the Walt
Disney World resorts.

When you sign up at a marina, that is the only marina that you can use,
although it doesn’t have to be the resort where you’re staying. The marinas
are located at the Beach Club, Caribbean Beach, Contemporary, Coronado
Springs, Downtown Disney, Fort Wilderness, Grand Floridian, Old Key West,
Polynesian, Port Orleans, Wilderness Lodge and Yacht Club. The boats
include Sea Racers, pontoons, sailboats, kayak’s, canoes and canopy boats.
The specialty cruises are excluded.

Surrey bikes are excluded for the bike rental plan as well.

Not sure if this is the latest, but this is what I have for prices.

Great info, do you know if you can take a pontoon out without a cm? We own a pontoon and are very knowlegible with them.

We took a pontoon out several years ago with no CM. In fact my kids drove it for part of the time.

You can take a pontoon w/o a cast member. We did this in July and found the pontoon to be the best of the boats. We had a blast!

You can not use this plan at the Polynesian or Grand Floridian unless you are actually a guest staying there during the time of your plan.

Also keep in mind that you have to be 16 with a valid driver's license to be able to drive a watermouse alone. I wanted to let you know this because you said that your teens were excited about the watermice. My kids love them too and for a couple of years (when they changed the policy) my son was not able to drive them alone until he got his license, so I like to let other people know ahead of time so their kids won't be upset if they find out for the first time when they are standing at the marina.

ENJOY!!
