Assuming a 5 point discount for existing members, what is your thoughts as to opening price per point of Wilderness Lodge Deuce?

I said $170/175 because I feel like that's going to probably be the going rate for Aulani and PVB when VWL2 sales begin. This is also a hopeful vote.

However, I can see them getting overzealous and opening it at $175/180, which would be unfortunate IMO.

ohhh....a vote that says it will go on sale for a per point price that is less than the Polynesian. Interesting....

I voted 175/180, but quite honestly I think that's optimistic and think they might go higher.

It will cost.... one hundred BILLION dollars.

Muahahahhahahahahah

Really, I'll probably be the same or at least very close to the current direct purchase rate for VWL #1.

I think lower than your lowest unless they go crazy raising prior to that.

Interesting. You think it will go for the same price as a 2042 resort?

Well, as of May 4th, the Poly will be 171 per point. I am sure they will get another price increase in before VWL2(if not 2), so I see the poly at 175-180 at the time of VWL2. With my lowest option being 170, that would be less than the poly is selling for.

Then again, price per point is only half the equation. Then can easily drop it, and raise points per night...

(Now if I can remember this post when VWL2 goes on sale!)

Do you recall what Poly started at?

At the moment I say VWL II will be around $160 to $165 initially with a discount off that for existing.

Poly will be sold out. So they will offer if for $5-10 more the Aulani.

They will bait and switch to keep selling Aulani!

It will likely be $5 less PP compared to VGF or Poly or some equivalent special like extra points when it goes on sale.

The next recession could well have started by the time they sell VWLII so it cold well be lower than current sales

In all reality it will be selling for close to $200/pt after initial sales discounts. To think that I bought my two contracts for $52/pt and $72/pt I just can't swallow these prices even with the longer end date. Just wow :(

Without the direct access that Bay Lake, Polynesian, and GF share, I think Wilderness Lodge will go for less than all of those. I bought into Bay Lake for $91/pt and it didn't really spike until the past few years. I don't know why anyone would buy into these? You will need so many points to use the waterfront cabanas and most people can't afford to get close at $180+ a point. Even the resales have gone from $65-$80 per pt to over $100 at several resorts. I don't see the value in it at over $100 per point.

To the best of my knowledge, I think it started in January at 160, but went to 165 in February.

There was something a little atypical about Poly, I just do not remember what, like existing owners got a 2 week exclusive period as opposed to a longer one, or something like that.

The offering will also have converted hotel rooms, not just waterfront cabanas.

Yes exactly my thoughts. Maybe a little over but they all are fairly close in price (other than OKW and SSR being a little less, but still 140/pt is high for those IMHO). . What primarily separates the 2042 vs 2057+ resorts is the points needed to reserve a unit.

I think it was a fairly short time. But I'd never seen a resort that went on sale so close to opening either.

VWL 1 is selling between $92-$98/pt. ( There abouts.) resale. That's a pretty significant ppp. Direct pricing I think is $155/pt. I don't see $200/pt. an unrealistic asking price direct for VWL2.

voted 170 for existing as I can see them being greedy and wanting more. plus the fact that poly will probably be 180 or more by the time WL2 goes for sale.
