Cost of taxi rides???? & other info on Taxis....

We usually rent a car....but with the new Disney Magical Express starting in May....we are considering using that instead, since we are only at WDW for 5 days.

so, some of the things we use a rental car for we are thinking of using a taxi.
I am curious if anyone can give me example costs of taxi rides around WDW.

for example....
What would it cost to taxi it from CBR to DTD?
Or from CBR to the Polynesian.....(I know I could use the bus to MK, then monorail over....)
Would a taxi over to Poly be quicker than the bus to monorail?

How do you go about getting a taxi? Can you call guest services? or do you have to call the taxi service yourself?

There are cabs waiting outside the Customs House at CBR. Not sure if they will send them back to your building but you could walk or take the bus to the Customs house.

No need to call the cab company because they are always there.

We took a cab from AKL to CBR. I'm thinking 11.00 w/ tip.

They took us right up to our stairway. So glad since it was pouring rain. Not sure where you pick them up though.

We took at lot of cabs...home base was BW. We took them the the MK and the MK resorts, to AKL.

They were consistantly $10-$15 plus tip.

Anyone know taxi price from AKL to IOA? Would there be taxis waiting outside IOA to take us back to AKL?

No taxies outside of IOA but there are near the parking garage at Citywalk or where you park when visiting Universal.
