Cost of phone calls while in Disney?

There are charges added when using a calling card in your Resort room. Trust me, I have had it on my bill and questioned it many times!! It is either $3 or $4 per call.

As of about one year ago, Disney abolished their outgoing phone fee (it used to be $0.85 for local, or 1-800 calls.

When I stayed at AKL and BC in March, there was no charge for any local calls or 1-800 calls.

I also used my calling card, and had no fee added.
 
I get a $5 phone card from Loblaws(presidents choice). It will last you all week.

Never use it from the room though always use a payphone in the lobby.

Well, I can only speak to my experience. When I was there last August, my DD use the calling card and we had a fee charged. :confused3 Perhaps they had enough complaints that they no longer do it??

This has worked out excellent for me. I got a $10 card, and used it every day for the 22 days we were in Fla. We came home with minutes still on it. The calls are $.04 a minute. We too used the pay phones at the resort or parks. We bought ours at No Frills, and they sell them at Valu-Mart as well.
