Cost of NE upgrade for the 4/7 deal?

Anyone know if you only pay the extra cost of a 4 day NE upgrade if you are using the new pay for 4 get 7 deal? Last year if you paid for a 4 day NE pass you received a 7 day NE pass for the same money. You could then upgrade the pass to an annual pass, therefore saving money on the cost of a new AP.

With the new rules this year, I wonder if Disney is charging you the cost of a 7 day NE upgrade on these tickets?

Am I making any sense?

You're making sense to me, but then, I had the same question. Like you, last year we bought 10 day NE tickets for the price of 7 day NE tickets with our package. We then upgraded them to AP's--it was a GREAT deal, and was the final straw in getting us to book the trip.

It kinda sounds like they're getting rid of that this year (along with the $200 gift card, and making the 7/4 deal a 5/2 deal at the values). Oh how I long for the good old days. . . .
