Cost of GOlf Cart Rental?

Can you tell me more about Tee Time w/ Kenny? We are looking at a 6 night golf cart rental...

My husband also found http://fortwildernessgolfcartrentals.com/Rates.html which would appear to be about $250 for 6 nts

Also reviews of Fort Wilderness Golf cart rentals Or Kenny?

Other outside vendors that are reputable?

We've only rented from Kenny when we were in between our own golf carts and both times, he was very reliable and delivered and picked up right from our site.

I just went to that website you listed and I'm pretty sure Disney will take issue with them. I have never heard of them before, but they are making themselves appear to be the official golf cart rental of the Fort and using the Fort logo and I'm pretty sure that's a big no-no. I promise you that once Disney sees their website, they may not be able to deliver carts to the Fort any longer. Disney is ruthless about things like that.

I know there are others, but we've only used Kenny. He books up fast and way in advance.

That's them - that's our old friends at GCRO. The phone number is the same, the address is the same, the pricing is the same, and even the blue-green word graphic that says "GolfCart" is the same.

From their website FAQ:

Can we deliver to Fort Wilderness Camp Ground?

Please Call for Details - 407-557-2775

Uh huh. Read about "delivery" in the first post of this thread: http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2988538

Like Denise said (she's so smart), run (don't walk) away from these guys for the reasons given in the linked thread she posted above.

Here are three Kenny threads from recent times. Kenny has a good rep but can be hard to get in touch with. His daily rate for a 4 seater is about $38/day.

As fyi Disney is $65 per day which includes tax.

OKay, everyone, just simmer down now.... lol

GCRO called me back and kindly explained that they have a tow hitch & trailer they include in the price, but that yes, you must have a vehicle that can tow said cart because they cannot deliver to FW. I don't have that type vehicle.

This morning, I got an email from Caroline with Central Florida Golf Carts w/ a quote for $180 and indicated I could email her back for a contract. No payment would be required until I PICK UP (and they do deliver stealthily on site to FW) and they would contact me a couple of days ahead of time to go over details.

I also got a call from Tee Time. QUote was $210 for 6 days and they wanted full prepayment at 10 days out. I've decided to try CFGC as they have some positive reviews on here too, are slightly less, and don't take payment until delivery.

Other than Disney, I'm guessing those are the three major outfits?

Well there have been two outfits in Disney and Kenny. When those two get fully booked up (such as around holiday times) there has NOT been a third go-to group. GRCO has not had much of a presence or mention on this board at the Fort since they lost their property access. And people will come on here asking for a third recommendation.

CFGC may be a third go-to vendor. They just haven't had much of a mention on here that I've noticed. So let us know how your rental goes with them and maybe they can get into the rotation.

Also, since these are public boards, whatever CFGC works out for you for pickup and drop off, don't post too many details here. Personally I believe these boards are periodically reviewed by WDW management. There's been too many instances of oddball/specific/unique things being mentioned here that subsequently get changed by management. Too many coincidences. So play your cards close to the vest.

Have a great trip.

Thanks for the tip. I'm certainly realizing what a clandestine operation this off-site golf cart rental business is! I will be sure to keep the secrets of CFGC!!

:cool2:

The few mentions I have seen here of CFGC have been positive....

We faithfully use Kenny, but he takes a bit to get in touch with. We have used him 5 times and had a few issues that Kenny sorted quickly... But for our upcoming October trip he is booked solid so we went looking elsewhere... We to are going with CFGC. Caroline was fabulous and answered all questions. We are a lil more flexible as we have a truck that we can go pickup a cart but not needed with either of these two...
When are you going to the Fort? I can give you an update after we go if you'd like?

That sure is nice of you. We will be there in about 4.5 weeks, so I'll let you know how it goes! :cool1::goodvibes
