Cost of getting from Disney Resort to Universal IOA

So, our vacation plans have run amuck....I was supposed to meet up at our resort with family members who were driving and we were all going to ride together to go to Universal. So, they just told me that they are not coming. So, we need to get there some how or we lose out on the tickets.

We are on a budget so can you all tell me what the cost of getting a taxi or some other transportation to get there? I would rather not rent a car for one day, because that is not an expense that we had planned for.

Last year it was $42 for us without the tip.

We always use Mears. It is $19.00 per adult round trip.

i hate those kind of surprises where you have plans to do something special and then it is changed......


how many in your group?
that will help to determine the cheapest way to get to uo from wdw and back.

the mears shuttle is $19 per person round trip.
quite a few peeps tip the driver.
you can arrange your travel times with them.

A taxi can run between $35 to 45 + tip (one way), and can hold 4 passengers.
don't go during rush hour as time in the taxi adds on to the cost with the mileage.

there are some car services out there that will cost $40 per ride. tip not included.
they work with your schedule.

the lynx bus is an option but it does take about an hour to use each way.
