Cost of DDP per person

I know someone here can answer this question. We are DVC members and are going to let a friend use some of our points for an upcoming trip. There will be two adults and two children (both under 3) in their room. One of the adults will need to leave one day early. If they decide to do the dining plan, would they need to pay for her even though she won't be there?

We have never used the dining plan ourselves, but it is my understanding that you pay per day/per person for the length of stay. Our friend has used the dining plan in the past and enjoys the convenience of it, but is wondering what would be the most cost effective.

Unless there is something different for DVC, you would have to pay for two adults for same number nights no matter when each is leaving/coming. The credits are then pooled for the room, so the one staying longer can use the extra credits OR they can use them early and do some signature dining.

Price per person/per night is $58.66.
