Cost of Bike Rentals at Hilton Head

We are going down at the end of the month and have always rented from the resort to make it easy. But it seems the price keeps going up, and with five of us it might be worthwhile renting from somewhere else. Does anyone know the current rates at Disney and does anyone have another less expensive place they can recommend?

They list several places to rent from. Dh and I need road bikes as we ride for 30+ miles at a time and don't want the typical leisure bikes. We were able to find places that rent upscale bikes, but there were plenty of places that listed the regular bikes with prices. Good luck.

We rented from the DVC resort in April 2011 and it was $30/bike for our length-of-stay. We had brought our own, but forgot the training wheels for DD5's bike. We opted to rent a tug-a-long for her, but they would not let us attempt to hook it up to one of our own bikes. So, we had to rent a resort bike too.

We checked this morning and the Member rate for bike rentals at HH is $16 per day or $30 for length of stay as you said. LOS of non-members is $35.

Thank you for all the info. The first couple of years we went down there (this will be our 10th year) it was $25 for the first two bikes for the length of stay and then $10 for each additional. So it was $80 for our stay, now it's up to $150 - close to double. That is a big increase.
