Sorry, sorry, I know this has been asked so many times before, but I can't remember the answer.

Me. husband and dtr all have APs but son (aged 16) has decided to grace us with his presence on this trip (YAY :cool1: ) so we need to get him a pass or entry tickets. We will be there for 6 days and I can't find a quote anywhere for a six day pass, so I have tried to work out what it will cost if we get a 5 day pass for him and then a single day pass. It will DEFINITELY be cheaper to get him a Fantasy AP.

1) Is there any cheaper way to do it that I haven't thought of? (Bearing in mind I will get a discount on any ticket I buy through Disney with my Dream AP)

2) We don't want to hang around outside on our first day queuing for tickets, so I was thinking of getting him a 1 day pass at a UK Disney Store and using that to get him in, then getting AP from the AP Bureau. Will they DEFINITELY deduct the cost of that ticket from his AP?

TIA

I would go to the guest services at the park gates beside the DLH entrance.
You could then just purchase the AP direct. All you'll need to do is go to the AP bureau to change to a permanent AP :thumbsup2
Why don't you sponsor your DS which will give you 10% off or if you are a shareholder then better to get the 15% discount :)

We bought one day tickets last summer before we went and they were discounted from the AP.

We also bought DGM a 3 day ticket at Christmas from Disney Store in UK and it had a 4th day free on it - we used this 4th day for DS to get into the park at Easter and then got it refunded when we bought him an AP. We bought him a francilien pass as we werent going into the parks for a few days afterwards.
This could be another option if your DS was happy to spend day 2 and 3 not in the parks. You would have to check blackout days though.Make sure you check for blackout for fantasy as well

We worked out that buying an AP was certainly better value than buying a 5 day pass. It worked out about the same cost for a 5 day hopper as it was for a Fantasy AP so we are going down the AP route this time. With little man around we certainly need to save 10% as much as possible :thumbsup2

Thanks for the ideas and suggestions. I definitely want to get it before we go as I want to be there for EMH and I'm not sure the booths are open at 8 in the morning.
