Cost & Methods of Transport Long Beach Airport to DL (GC)

We will be flying into Long Beach, and we will be staying at the GC concierge in July. I am a WDW veteran but this is only my 2nd time to DL. Last time Disney arranged our transport as it was part of the DCL repo cruise package. This time we are on our own, and I do not know what my transportation options are. We are looking for the easiest method of transport. Thanks for any and all input.

Piece of cake - as you walk outside the airport there will be buses, shuttles, and taxis - you can choose what works best for your group. We had 2 adults and a 2 year old, usually around $20-30 depending on what we've chosen. You can make reservations through various shuttle services (Guest Services will even give you numbers of the ones they recommend if you call them) for your pick up. It's not really necessary and we never make reservations, but go ahead if you're worried. We usually prefer to hire a cab once we get there rather than waiting on the shuttles and buses - less wait time.

Last time I took a cab from LGB to the DLH the flat rate was $35 not including tip. You won't get that same flat rate on your return trip though, unless you negotiate ahead of time with the cab driver.

I will be arriving in LGB on May 24th for 5 days. This time it will be me, my friend & cousin . When I did all my researching for transportation to DL it came out to be cheaper renting a car the total incl tax is $63.00 I went through Costco.com under travel that price also includes 1 additional driver. We are going to go to the beach 1 day so for us that was the best deal.

Is there a charge at GC to park?

As said before, to DL from LGB airport - $35 (not bad for our minivan packed to the ceiling), but on the return to the airport - $65. We were not happy . Left us with a bad memory and an argument to boot. Not the perfect ending to our perfect vacation so beware! They are not upfront about it.
For that cost, we could've had a towncar with a better scent.
