Debating whether or not to request one. Staying at All Star.
anyone know the cost involved?

Thanks

The cost of the fridge is $10.60 a day.

For $67.88, I got a thermoelectric cooler at Walmart that we are taking.

If you are flying, it wont be possible unless you buy it when you get there and sell it when you leave. I have seen some threads on cooler swaps. (you post you want to sell on such and such date, and someone arriving then may purchase it)

The coolers are great. They are electric (they also work in the car from a cigartte lighter) so you don't need ice. The one a got was a 40 quart which is larger than the rental fridges. It looks like a large cooler.

I couldn't see spending $86 on a rental, but with 2 little kids we had to do something for drinks and snacks in the room.

We are driving, so its' no sweat for us.

Good luck and have a great trip.

While not as convenient, a lot of people just use a regular cooler and replenish the ice as necessary.

We did the same thing in 2001. We were staying at the All Star and also bought the Coleman 40 quart electric cooler. It works great. We use it on all of our vacations now. I have even seen one on the baggage ramp at the airport before.

We were planning on taking an electric cooler too, I'm so glad that it was mentioned here b/c I cannot see paying 70+ bucks just to rent a fridge for the week we are there, when I can pay less than that for a cooler I'll keep forever!!! :)
