I think I might get some cookies and milk, or rice krispie treats or something delivered to our room on Saturday night, tomorrow :yay:, at GCH. But, I'm not sure if I still have time and wondering what the cost is? I saw all the vacation planning threads with baskets, but I just want maybe the Mickey Cookies or a couple chocolate strawberries. You know, just a little something fun for our anniversary?

TIA!!

When we did it at DLH it seems like it was $25-$30, in that range. You got two Mickey shaped cookies and two carafes of milk. You can actually buy the cookies in WWS at the GC so keep that in mind, as well as milk!!

Oh, and you can get a free cookie if you do the scavenger hunt at GC during the day which is fun for the kids. :thumbsup2

I've never heard of this scavenger hunt before, can you tell me more? Is it only for resort guests or can any kid join in?

From memory, when we stayed there last (which was in 2004) it was just for Grand Californian guests. But as that was years ago, it may have changed now.

It is called the Grand Quest and is usually offered daily from 4-5 p.m. I believe. It will be on your daily activity list that is left for you the night before in your room. It takes about 20 minutes or so and DS enjoyed it as he was able to cruise around the grounds and see the hotel. I just thought I would mention it because the prize was the same cookie you got in the cookies/milk delivery!

We really wanted to do the washcloth animal assembly class but it was only offered once when we were there and Magic Morning was more important to us! I think that one would be a lot of fun.

that much for 2 cookies and 2 milk :scared1::scared1::scared1: holy cow !!

We last ordere milk and cookies in 2007 and i thought it was in the $20-$25 range. We were able to request 2 different cookies as dd loves sugar cookies and ds loves chocolate chip cookies. The cookies they got from the grand quest was an iced character cookie from whitewater snacks. The grand quest is for registered guests of GCH. You sign up at the guest services/concierge desk in the lobby

When we ordered cookies and milk we got the character cookies, not chocolate chip. We were not given a choice but it does not hurt to ask to see what your options are as it appears your cookies were different than ours. I wanted the OP to know that they are also free if you are staying at GC if you do the Grand Quest.

The official charge listed is $18 for 2 cookies or rice krispies plus delivery charge ($2 I think) plus tax plus 19% gratuity (it is through room service). That packs a wallop! Just have spouse pick up a couple of cookies at Marceline's in DTD and slip them into the room. It is a nice treat to have them delivered if you can swing it. It (IMO) is more reasonable than getting the baskets delivered from Vacation Planning. The cookies give just as much bang as the gift baskets because the kids still think that Mickey slipped in to leave it for them. This is just my experience with it.
