We have heard different things; but does anyone know what DVC charges for a room cleaning fee if you want to change rooms before the stay is up?

We have a room that is pretty smelly with perfume type smell, which the DW can't handle do to chemical sensitivities. BCV is telling us $35, but we remember the cost being more like $25.

Anyone know about this??

Just wanted to let you know - I looked all over the Disney web site, the DVC web site, and through my DVC paperwork, and I can't find this anywhere!!! I know I've seen it written down, but I can't figure out where! If I find it, I'll let you know asap!

Isn't it the same as a full daily cleaning fee for whatever size room you are in?

I think it's $25 for a studio, $30 1 bedroom, $40 2 bedroom, $60 GV.

I agree with Debbie. It's the same as a full cleaning.

Those are the fees quoted in the 2002-2003 Member's Guidebook- but there is also a caveat that the fees can be changed without warning. I have not found any fee list since that publication. There is a mention in the 04-05 Guidebook about the room change charge, but no fees listed that I could find.

Sounds like you are there right now, if you walked in and smelled the perfume, why didn't you just turn around and ask for a new room, that way you wouldn't have to pay? what size room are you in?

DW and DD are there right now. This is the second room, the first reeked of cigarette smoke (after being asked directly for a non-smoking room) so this is the second room.

They are in a studio.

Thanks for everyones help.

In this case there should not be a charge. Kick this up to management level and don't be shy. Be polite, but not shy!!!
