Coronado Springs

Just back from 8 days at CSR. Wanted to thank everyone for your advice. When we made our reservations, I wasn't sure what area to request, so I left it up to chance - ended up in Casitas 2. Very nice, but since I didn't pay extra, we got a parking lot view - as far as parking lots go, this is a nice one. A long walk from El Centro when doing laundry, and having to go back twice because the change maching didn't work. Our room was great, pool was magnificant, Maya Grill was superb, Pepper market was unique - good quality, but not too relaxed. One of the most exciting things was the alligator in the lake. A CSR CM told us that they've removed him several times, but he keeps coming back. We fed him some leftovers. For those of you wondering, he is about 3 feet long - kind of cute - as long as he stays in the water.

The only thing I did not like about CSR, is there was a convention this week (I know, it's a convention hotel), so all of a sudden, the place became full, and the resort set up special areas for the people involved (not in the convention area, but in common areas). We kind of got the feeling we were second priority at times.

Oh - and did anyone notice you can set your watch to the 3:00 thunderstorm?

I just got back as well. It was a very relaxing beginning of the week, and then it was incredibly relaxing.

Then the conventioneers came in. It did get a tad more crowded, and we could not get a golf cart rides.

Welcome to the club!! :cool1:

If DVC were to ever build at CSR I would sell all of my current points and buy the at CSR it is such a great resort. Our kids have toured the place and just love it there. The pool and dig site are huge hits with them. We were there in Feb of 98 and there was a convention for Chrysler going on but to be honest we felt like we were the only people there. We were right across from teh quiet pool across the walkway it was back behind the main pool. I can't for some reason remember teh room number but we were in building #6 in the Ranchos We were facing away from the path to the quiet pool looking more towards the walkway and the boardwalk around the water was just outside the door to our room it was a king room. I wish I could remember the room number LOL.
