Coronado Springs

I've been to Disney gobs o' times, but never stayed at Coronado Springs.

Any suggestions from those who have?

We had not been to Disney in over 20 years-- and stayed at Corondao-- we LOVED it-- it is spread out but we chose to drive to the food court if we went-- the main pool is AWESOME and the quiet pools are just that-- quiet and nice-- the Maya Grill restaurant is fabulous-- the Pepper Market is fair-- average food--

the grounds are gorgeous and there are tons of buses running continuously--- the resort, to me., seems ideally located-- we drive to the MK and to other off site places with ease-- you'll love this resort!

The rooms were spacious and clean-- and the decor is great-- I also thought the gift shop was SUPERB-- I bought things there that my friend who stayed at Port Orleans Riverside wanted yet they didn't have the selection in the gift shop over there--

it was my anniversary and they gave us a complimentary glass of champagne at the bar too--

It is a great resort---

Just thought I would pipe in on Coronado. I stayed here in 2000 as part of the ND Navy game at the Citrus Bowl. The other moderates I have stayed at are POR (hated it) and CBR. I liked Coronado the best. The pool is great! For some reason CS gets a bad rap (like the Contemporary my absolute favorite!) but it is the moderate I would definitely return to.

CSR is a convention resort BUT DONT BE ALARMED!!! When we stayed there we had no problem with the conventions and there were two of them at the same time. Because of the conventions the pool stayed open longer Just watch out for golf carts carring the convention guest on the sidewalk.

CSR is the only moderate we've tried, and we think it's great

I agree CS is great.

Ask for a room in the Casitas or Cabanas sections. They're closer to the lobby / food court, and not too far from the main pool. The Ranchos section is very nice looking, but a very long walk from the main lobby.

The bus service is great here also. They don't stop at other resorts, so they tend to be speedy.

The grounds are beautiful & the atmosphere relaxing. A great choice!

CSR is our favorite moderate (the Contemp is our favorite deluxe) and I think it's because it's a convention resort. It's mainly adults and there aren't a ton of kids running around. For a young married couple like us, that's a good thing. YMMV

CSR has the best pool of all the moderates. The main pool site has an arcade, volleyball court and great slide and CSR also has 3 quiet pools. CSR has terrific transportation that is not shared with any other resort. If you going to eat at the Pepper Market (CSR's version of a food court), I would recommend getting the meal vouchers which cost $17.50 each (cheaper on eBay) and allows you to get an entree, side dish, dessert and drink of your choice.

EXAMPLE
Each voucher is good for Lunch or Dinner for the following:

One entree, one side dish, one non-alcoholic beverage, and one dessert

-OR-

One combo meal (entree, side dish and non-alcoholic beverage) and dessert.

Pepper Market: Coronado Springs:
Entree: Ribeye Steak, w/ potatos and Veggies: $17.95
Side: Caesar Salad: $5.99
Dessert: Ranges from $3.95 and up.
Drink: Fruit Smoothie: $3.79
Tax: $1.90. Gartuity (15%): $5.04
Total: $38.62!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

All for $17.50 or less and the Pepper Market is one of the locations the vouchers can be used at.
