I am trying to plan a quick, last minute trip in November and there is not much available. Which would you prefer with these two options? BTW-it would be myself and my 10 year old daughter.

Riverside is a better location. Boat to Disney Springs. Coronado and tower share busses and some complaints about service.
..Ultimately though I would say neither one if it has to be standard. They are both large sprawling resorts and stand will mean a lobg hike to main buildings, morning coffee etc. If you are choosing standard to save mk ey French Quarter is smaller and more compact.

To answer the question you asked - I would go for Riverside. I love that resort and the theming just gives me the "feels" when walking around. Go with what theme appeals the most - room facilities' will not be wildly different.

I stayed Riverside in a standard room and it is my favorite of the moderates from a theming point of view (when at Disney, I value theming).

I'm going to go against the grain and say CSR. It's my favorite Mod. The PO resorts are my least favorite. I hate the themeing of them.

Definitely CSR. The main pool is great, your daughter will love it. Many food options, the tower is an option but the regular rooms are nice as well. Good bus service as the resort has quick rides to all the parks.

Hands down, Coronado Springs. Now that they built the bridges across the lake, it hardly seems that big at all. We love the theming and food options. There is also ample bus service to the parks if you don't have a car. CSR feels like a deluxe at moderate prices.

DD/SIL stayed at POR last spring and absolutely hated it. Changed rooms twice due to lack of cleanliness and bugs. Apparently the bayou section is in serious need of a rehab, based on their experiences. Also because of weather conditions the boats to Disney Springs weren't running (too little water in the rivers), and they had dinner plans at DS every night (part of why they chose POR).

Port Orleans (both resorts) are my favorite resorts on property so I'd pick Riverside no question. The theming is beautiful and peaceful.

Is Port Orleans French Quarter a possibility? I like it even better with the small size. I know they do have some construction going on right now though if that's a concern.

We've stayed at Riverside several times over the years and had a split stay with there, CSR, and Saratoga Springs in February 2024. Honestly, I'd likely give a slight edge to CSR as we were able to park within a few feet of our room entrance. Also, depending on where your room is at Riverside, it can be a "haul" to the main building (quick service, front desk, shopping, etc.). Keep in mind the rooms at CSR were designed to accommodate convention guests, so the room set up is slightly different than other mod resort rooms--not an issue in our opinions, though. Would I stay in either again? YES. I'd based that decision on availability and cost!

I agree with those who recommend POFQ. I have heard similar not-so-clean stories regarding the bayou rooms at POR.
