I have read on several websites that the refurbished rooms at Coronado Springs now include Casitas 1,2,3, and 4; Ranchos 7A, and Cabanas 8A. I have also read that Casitas 5 is undergoing refurbishment and will open sometime in May. I am looking to do a room request for our Standard view room during Memorial day weekend and wonder if anyone has a suggestion about the preferences of Casitas 4/5, Ranchos 7A, or Cabanas 8A as to convenience, views, style of architecture, etc. We don't mind walking and will not be doing buses too often. Any help would be appreciated.

I was just in Casitas 4 and it was nice (5min to El Centro). A bit of a walk (5-7min) to the dig site but we had a pool right outside the door and the first bus stop. I think 8A is the most requested for being between Dig Site and El Centro. 7A would be further from El Centro/food. I would request Cabanas 8A or Casitas 4, again. Casitas had fountains and lush gardens.

I stayed at CSR in April. I requested a renovated Ranchos 7A room (I reserved a standard room) as I thought the Ranchos theming seemed really cool....the most extreme based on my internet perusing. When we arrived, I had not received a room ready text, so we headed to check-in. I was given a room in a non-refurbished Ranchos building and the CM didn't see any refurbished availability on the computer. I asked the CM to call and see if we could be moved to a refurbished room. Ended up in Casitas 2. I agreed to the move quickly even though we would be farther from the Dig Site and I expected the theming to be, well, boring. Happy to say it was beautiful. I enjoyed every walk through the Casitas area from our room to el centro. Lots of green and multiple fountains made it very pleasant.

I think some would tell you that, if it is your top priority, you should make a refurbished room your only request.

We were in Casitas 5 the week before Christmas, non refurb room but looked out over the lake, which didn't matter to us since we don't open the curtains on the outside hallway rooms. The walk to the main building couldn't have been more than 5 min., bus stop less than 3, pool about 5 or 6 min. We were on the third floor, and didn't hear a peep from anyone around us. I've stayed in the Cabanas section twice, two different buildings and found the walks from there pleasant and not bad.
