I print these off, cut them out, and fold into envelopes. I prestuff them prior to leaving home and just keep them in a quart ziplock bag in the safe and take one out each day. In the mornings just before leaving the room, I gather all the towels and washcloths together, roll into a ball, wrap with a clean towel, place in the sink, and put the mousekeeping envelope on top.

We are sold on this being our next resort for our October 2011 stay. As the kids get older(5,7,13,15) and expenses keep increasing we are hard pressed to find a "deluxe" feel for a not so deluxe price! :lmao:

I have us priced out for a jr suite, with 6 day hoppers and dining plan. It took this wonderful thread to convince me that I would be as happy staying here and save the 3-4 thousand price difference that Contemporary and Wilderness Lodge Villas were going to run us. Thank you!:worship: Now I have more money to shop with!!

Awesome! We were upgraded to a junior suite in 2008 for our 25th wedding anniversary and it was great. You will love it with the new furnishings, etc.

Hi all, first of all, I'm sure this question has been asked before but I can't seem to find a definite answer. I wanted to know about shipping water and other things to CSR. In some posts I read it says to make sure its being shipped by UPS not fed ex and the package will be held at the front desk (no extra charge). Others say there is a charge regardless. I want to order a case of a bottled water to be shipped there and I want to ship some essentials out there myself. Does anyone know the current policy and any advice of where to order the water from?

TIA
Bicki

I can't answer the water & shipping questions. But the posts about tipping Mousekeeping I can here.

Here is what I did. I bought lime green cards with envelopes and decorated them with stickers. I put in a few dollars a day and a bit more our last day.

I left them out next to the card provided with our Mousekeeper's name.

I just wrote "Mousekeeping" on the outside and then a short thank you inside.

I traveled with a student group and I encouraged my kids to leave out envelopes with tips. It is not easy picking up a room assigned to four teenage girls. I think the rooms that tipped got similar service as those that did not tip. But it was the thought that counts.

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this but we were surprised that the Coronado had new refillable mugs. They are no longer specific to the Coronado, seemed a tad smaller, and are taller and more thin than the old ones. When I picked up mugs for our first timmers at check-in I was told they would not accept the old mugs. However several people in our group used older mugs from previous trips and had no problem at the Pepper Market or Siestas. Not sure when this happened or how long the old mugs will still be accepted.

Random question regarding tipping for the Mousekeepers:

Where do you leave it and how much each day? Do you leave a note so they're clear it's for them? Any fun ideas?

I also just bring regular envelopes and put Disney stickers on them and I write "Mousekeeping" on the front so they know for sure it's for them. Then we just leave the envelope by the phone on the nightstand.

The mugs haven't been resort specific for a couple of years now. As far as using the old mugs, it may depend on who's working that day. I was really surprised when I was there Dec '09. Two different mornings I heard the CMs at Cafe Rix get onto people using the old CSR mugs, telling them they were no longer valid and they needed to purchase old mugs. This was the first time I have ever heard a CM saying anything about not using old mugs at any WDW resort and this happened twice during that trip with two different CMs.:confused3

This will be my first trip to Disney with my two children. I hate to sound stupid but...can you see fireworks from the Coronado?

You may see some high ones above the trees, but you don't have a theme park view from the CSR, so you're not going to see the majority of them. For example, at the Contemporary, you can go on an observation deck and see most of the Magic Kingdom fireworks. Or, you can go to the Polynesian Resort and stand on the beach and see them. But at CSR, it's more like walking around and saying, 'oh look, there's some fireworks!'

If it's your first time at WDW, I would plan to be in the parks for the evening spectaculars. They are a "MUST SEE" for me on each and every trip to the World.

Welcome to the DIS!

Thanks for the Mousekeeping tip suggestions, folks...I had no idea there were little cards ready to download to thank CM's. How awesome is that?!

Just booked CSR!:yay: We requested Cabanas, but were pixie dusted over the phone to preferred! This is our 1st stay at CSR. The mods are our favorites. This is a pre cruise trip celebrating my graduation from grad school (almost done)! Summer cannot get her fast enough!

I know there used to be 2 different types of refillable mugs does anyone have a photo of the current one at CSR? Trying to see if it will fit in our stroller cup holder or not.

Also Room request our son has autism and is obsessed with staying on the top floor it will make our vacation so much easier if we do get the request because he can not let things go and it will be a fight if we aren't everytime we go to or leave the room to most people it doesn't matter but something like that is a big issue for him and after a few days it does wear you down and we just want all of us to have a great trip. Should I do 10 day check in online and request it or fax it or what. Should I put why we want the top floor. I really want the Casitas were we have stayed before but don't want to request too much and them put that request over being on the top floor. Know what I mean.

If you do a google search of the 2010 Disney refillable mugs you will see a picture. I *think* you would be ok with the stroller cup holder as they are fairly narrow on the bottom. They fit in the cupholders in our car just fine.:)
As for your room request, I can see why that would be important to you. Call and have your request noted to your reservation. I wouldn't do the online check in , I would check in at the desk so that if your request is not met you havea chance to ask someone in person.
Of course, requests can't be guaranteed, they are just requests, but checking in in person would probably help in this case.:)

1) CSR now uses the same refillable mugs as every other resort. No problem with the stroller cup holder.

2) I'd post this question on the disABILITIES board; they might be more able to answer it specifically. I also think that there is a special disabilities phone for Disney that deals with all disability-related issues. You may want to call and ask for the disabilities office. Here's the link on the website:

I am looking at the pictures posted but dont completely have my questions answered. So here goes :)

1.) Is there a pool side bar/snack bar right at the main pool?
2.) Are there restrooms/changing areas by the main pool?
3.) Im pretty sure I read that there are but I want to verify. Are there flotation vests available for small children?

Thank you!

Yes, the bar and the snack bar are right by the main pool (there are tables off to the side near the volleyball court as well as tables around the pool deck); there is a restroom/changing area/shower right by the main pool. Yes, you can get vests for the kids at the main pool, as well as your towels.

Hi all! Thinking of booking the Jr. Suite for our next trip. It will be me, my two adult daughters & 3 children. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Two full bathrooms--2 queen beds in one room--pull out sofa (what size?) & maybe (?) murphy bed in the other room???? How is closet/drawer space?? We are driving so won't worry about bus stops & don't necessarily have to be close to main building, but would love to be close to dig site area. Any suggestions as to what building with Jr. Ste would be kinda close to that area. Thanks.
