It may be on here somewhere, but here are my questions:
1. We booked through AAA. Is it still possible to do the online check-in? Also, can I put in a location request or do I have to have my TA do it? I never use a travel agent, but my understanding is the TA owns the reservation until check in, so they would have to call CRO to add any room requests. Don't know about being able to do online check in, but you'd have to have the reservation number.
2. I'm sort of OCD and a bit of a germaphobe. If I don't want mousekeeping to clean the room (I'd rather take a few minutes and do it myself each morning), what do I do? Put a "do not disturb" sign out? Not a problem, just put the Do Not Disturb sign out. The housekeeper will leave a bag of towels, washcloths, soaps, and shampoos on the door every two days or so.
3. I'd really like to be near El Centro. What is the best location? I am not as concerned about the dig site or bus stops at this point. If you book a preferred room, you'd be guaranteed to be in Casitas 1, 2, or 3.
4. I've only seen it mentioned a couple of times but... how bad is the language barrier? Not an issue. I have yet to find a CM at CSR that doesn't speak English. They may have an accent, but do speak English.
5. As we will be using ME from the airport, is it better to grab your bags and take them on the bus or to let them handle it? I go to WDW several times a year and have used DME ever since the first week it was in existence. Yeah, I was one of the original guinea pigs that first week. I have always had them transport my luggage and have yet to have a problem. Let them handle your bags. Go straight from the plane, check in with DME on the first floor, hop on the DME bus, check in at your resort, drop any carryons at bell services if your room is not ready, then hop on a bus to the parks. When you get back to your room, your checked bags will be waiting in the room for you. You'll need to run down to bell services to pick up your carry ons though.
Thank you!
I answered the questions I could in blue. Have a great trip! CSR is a fantastic resort.
