Has anyone heard if the pepper market buffet will continue in 2013 ?
Have narrowed down resort choices and it's 1 room at akl or 2 at CSR with 2 teen girls but think CSR will be better for us. Would be great for choice if buffet ongoing at breakfast.

we will be there in 90 days! I know it seems like forever, but have been waiting to go back for almost 3 years, now! :woohoo::banana:

nobody knows it? :(

In 2010 we used the magnetic sheets that we purchased at the Dollar Tree and did displayed our cruise and WDW trips on the doors at the POFQ
They were metal and I am sure they are the same at CRS.
Have a great trip and let the magic begin.

hello...

i am a "new user" from germany and i am looking forward to our first trip to the CSR at 9-22-12.

does anyone know, if there are "metal doors" in the buildings? we would like to decorate our door a little bit :)

hope my english is not toooo bad ;)

We are arriving on 22/9 as well :) if i hear someone around with a German accent I'll say hello. I'll be the Dad with Ears :)

We haven't played volleyball in years at the CSR (since the last visit when BOTH of our kids were with us which was probably in 2000 :scared1:). If I'm remembering correctly, we asked the bartender or the lifeguard about the volleyballs, but they do have them.

thank you very much for your help! now we can think about putting some magnet-stickers on our door ;)

we are very excited about this resort. last year (our first WDW trip!) we stayed in the POP... hope the CSR is as nice as on the pictures here :)

I hope you enjoy CSR as much as we do. In my opinion it's much nicer than on the pictures!

I'm excited and nervous about staying at CSR. I've been doing reading tonight after I got off work to try and learn more about the resort. It wasn't our first pick and to be honest I know nothing about it. We wanted POR but we were told that CSR was the only moderate that had military discount rooms still available. WOW! They went fast. All they had available that were military discounted rooms also happened to be Preferred or Waterview. We chose waterview. She then asked did we prefer a view of the lake or a pool. We chose pool. I do know there are no rooms with a waterview of the main pool. Just hope we don't end up having a long walk to a bus stop. I don't mind the walking but my DD at the end of the day is now too heavy to carry. We stayed at SOG last year and it is very nice but I missed the Disney theme and the customer service. My DH asked did I want to change my mind and stay at SOG again but I'm sticking with CSR and have my fingers crossed. In my reading I've read some great stuff and a little bad which is true of any resort. I'll be sticking to this thread so I can learn more. Thanks for all the info I've seen already.

Hey! I just want to say I was the same way with CSR, I heard it was really big and a lot of walking to get around, while that is true we were able to hop on a golf cart driven by a cm and got right to where we needed to go. I love CSR so much we will be staying there again next month! Hope you enjoy

Thanks. I've been spending any spare time that I have had the past few days reading this thread so I can learn all there is to know about the resort. I think my trivia is getting on my DH's nerves, lol. I'm not too worried about the walking anymore. I stayed at CBR years ago and that resort is large also and from what I've been reading there is some beautiful scenery to look at while we walk. Have a great trip and I hope you will post a review on your stay.

We stayed at CSR for the first time in 2010. Our stay was only two days after a seven night cruise on the Magic. We loved CSR! I'm happy to say, we're headed back to CSR for Christmas. Any special events at CSR during Christmas week?

Currently driving home from our first stay at CSR and all I can say is that it will not be our last. It ended up being our favorite resort of all among the 5 trips we have made to Disney world. We stayed in Casitas 4 right by the salon and health center. Beds were great, pools were great, and it was a nice quiet resort close to all the parks. After doing straight buses for four trips we drive to the parks this one and was amazed that they were all within a 5 minute drive of us. Will def be back there for our next short trip!

Returning for a second stay at CSR in October, and we want to have food in the room for breakfast and snacks. I'm unsure if we should order from Garden Grocer or buy from Panchitos. From GG the cost is $63 plus delivery fee. I've been told CSR charges a holding fee for any delivered packages.

Can anyone confirm if Panchitos sells the following items, and what, if any fee CSR charges for holding our delivered groceries?

Coke/Diet coke- multi 16 or 24 oz bottle packs so we can carry into the park
Water- same thing
milk- half gallon or so
almond milk
cereal
apples
lays variety chip snack pack (on GG it's a 20 pack of 1 oz bags)
naked juice

You made me extra excited about our upcoming trip. This is our first stay at this resort. My aunt and cousin chose to stay here. Hoping to like it as much as your family did!

Is there a microwave in Cafe Rix or Pepper Market? (Or closer...wanting to pop some popcorn for the evening movies at the Dig Site.)

I don't remember if Cafe Rix has a microwave or not, but you can request one for your
room when you check in. I've only needed one once, and it was delivered to our room same day! Came in handy for my friend & her 9 year old grand daughter who like to have oatmeal every morning for breakfast. :)

CS restaurants have microwaves and toasters for your use. It should be in one of them; by description, I would think Cafe Rix.

Wow. :thumbsup2

Definitely saw the windows decorated ... but can't say I noticed any doors decorated. Our Mousekeeper also made a towel doggie and put him where he was looking out our window. Cute!

.

I always hang signs on our door at POR-FQ. It helps me find our room easily when I am really tired. I'll be there 10/8 - 10/13 with signs on my door. I never thought about hanging them in the window. Might try that too.

Will be putting something up for Christmas. Much easier to find our room at night. :)
