I'm trying to talk myself into trying this resort in OCT. Last year we were at CBR and loved it. This will be the last of the mods for us to try. I went on WDW to price CSR and it only shows suites in OCT. Why would that be?? Would it already be sold out???

There could be a convention going on (check the first or second page of this thread) and they will block rooms for the convention and at a later date release them. If you want to try the CSR, keep checking back.

;) Subbing. Can't wait to be there is 4 and a half months. Thanks for this awesome thread.

Welcome. Glad to have you join us. :)

No, there are no preferred rooms at the CSR (I know the CBR has them, but I believe that is the only moderate that does).

We like Casitas 4 and 5 and it is not more than a five to six minute walk to the main building (El Centro). When coming back from the parks, you can get off at Bus Stop 1 (the last one dropped off), get your sodas refilled and then walk to your room. We've done the Casitas seven of our eight stays; the eighth stay this past September we were in the Cabanas. Personally, we prefer the Casitas theme.

Glad you had a marvelous trip. I LOVE the picture--it is absolutely awesome. Thank you so much for sharing. :)

Thank you Katmark! I've been following this thread for about a month before our trip and all of the information that I got from here has helped us tremendously :)

wish we took more pictures that night but it got so windy and chilly that we just rushed back to our room :confused3:sad2:

4 weeks tomorrow till we arrive!!

Can't wait and I am so glad the weather has warmed up!
Hope everyone visiting between now and when we go has a great time:cool1:

Kat, I looked through all of your room location recommendations and I think I've decided I want to request Casitas 5 (or 4). Can I just wait until the ten day point and fax my request, or should I also call and have it added to my reservation? I know I read something about that elsewhere on the thread, but I can't remember. Thank you in advance.

Tina, I would definitely call and get it on your reservation now; and then fax the request three days prior to your arrival.

KatMark,

Just read through your thread... ok skimmed through it, we just booked today for August.

Anything I should know about Last week in August in particular at CSR?

We have arrived on various dates at the end of August -- anywhere from August 26 - August 31. We LOVE this time of year; it is hot (coming from Chicago we appreciate hot weather since we have such LONG winters and ery seldom much of a summer these last several years), peaceful and serene. We've never encountered the resort being full during any of these trips with the exception of once when there was a huge convention there. However, the convention people never interefered with our trip and we often sat at the pool with the spouses and had nice visits with them.

I think you will love it at this time of year.

We are going last week in May and so excited!! Does anyone have any info on the massages? I 've never had one and would love to be treated to one. I cannot find the prices. I saw the pictures of the massages rooms but to me they look like doctor offices.

I am sure someone will chime in with the prices, but I just wanted to say that I loved the massage I had at CSR last April. The rooms are not fancy but they are quiet, clean and relaxing. It was a wonderful break in the middle of the week!!

Just decided to change our October trip to an April trip! Woohoo! Only 90 days until my first visit to CSR!!! I cannot wait! I keep heading to the first page of this thread to look at the pictures!

Here is a link to find the massage prices. They are small rooms for the massage, but they are very quiet, clean and relaxing with soft music. I always get the aromatherapy massage every trip and it is absolutely fonderful.

Totally agree. I get one every trip midway through the trip and it really helps with the walking those last day sof the trip.

Love April at Disney. And love CSR! You've made two great choices.

I know at the GF and at the Saratoga Springs spas Annual Pass holders get a % off. Since the spa at CSR is also ran by Nicky Bryan, do they also give the discount?

Can someone tell me how far of a walk it would be to get a refill on soda if we were in Casitas or Cabanas? I see where it shows the distance to the pool and bus stops, but not to the soda station. Thanks!

it is just around the corner from the front desk
we were in building 8a and our 4 yr old didn't seem it was a long walk
you gould also get it filled at the pool bar too

Aubriee, I don't know since I don't have an AP. You can always call and ask.

Hi, Honeystar. My DH and I have normally stayed in Casitas 4 or 5 during our eight trips. It takes me about five to six minutes to walk to the main building when I go for our coffee every morning before we head to the parks--and this is at a leisurely pace; we were in Cabanas 9A this past September (first time in the Cabanas) and I would say it was a five minute walk. You can also get your mugs refilled at the pool bar.

Down to 45 days today! DH is making his part of the final payment today, mine is paid off! Woot! CSR here we come :goodvibes
