Towels are provided at the Dig Site but if you go to a quiet pool you will need to bring a towel from your room. Just ask mousekeeping for extra towels if you need them.

I don't believe you can. I'm pretty sure the beds are sitting on a base. But there is plenty of room in the closet area by the sink to store luggage.

You will love CSR. It is so far our favorite place to stay. We will be returning on December 29th to ring in the new year. Can not wait....

Thank you, sweetie! I hope you ahve a really magical Christmas trip. How fun!
I would love pictures of as many Christmas decorations as you can get (lobby, hallways, outdoors of the resort) and more "inside" pictures of Panchitos.

Thank you.

Thank :littleangel: YOU!! We'll be right on the :santa: pictures from check in

Will try to do a bit of live :cloud9: reporting when I get WiFi :smickey:

I have a sort of bizarre, off the wall question.... what kind of coffee pot is in the room? I am a huge coffee drinker, and cannot stomache the NesCRAPe they serve in the parks.... I will be bringing my own coffee, filters, etc to brew in the room. I need to figure out what kind of coffee filters to bring! I am zombie-mom until Ive had a couple cups of coffee in the morning, and do not want to subjust my DS to THAT! :rotfl:

Go to Page 1 of this thread, Post #2 -- there is a pic of the refrig and the coffee pot (I took the coffee pot picture when we were there in September).

My husband and I just got back from our anniversary trip to Disney. CSR is a beautiful resort and the new renovated rooms are great. We were actually upgraded to a king bed facing the quiet pool in Casitas 4. (I actually sent a fax request about 30 minutes before I did my online check-in--10 days before arriving) I was shocked that we got this upgrade at no charge. Everything was great--except--the Pepper Market. My husband and I got so frustrated with this place. We gave it three tries and all three experiences were negative. We are not picky eaters. We tried different items each time and all of them tasted horrible! Thank goodness we had free dining because I wouldn't have paid for any of it. There is a lot of confusion about the 10% service charge. It is 100% waived if your on the dining plan but I felt really bad for the wait staff because I think a lot of them lose tips due to the dining plan so we just left a tip on the table everyday. I don't know if they make all there money based on tips like most waiters??? Just in case we left a couple of dollars each time. Also, be prepared to wait in a line to get seated. It was not very busy at all but we waited in line on two of our visits.
We did receive a complimentary champagne toast for our anniversary.

Also, if anyone is wanting a reveiw on Disney Florist, our experience was awesome. My husband had the Tinker Bell's Holiday Wish sent to our room and its beautiful! They actually brought it in our room while we were gone to the park on the day we checked in.

Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at CSR. I will stay there in the future visits!!! Just sad that our trip went by so fast!!! :santa:

First, and foremost, Happy Anniversary! I'm so glad you enjoyed your stay at CSR and received pixie dust with the upgrade and the complimentary champagne toast for your anniversary. Thank you so much for posting your thoughts.

I'm just wondering...I've stayed at other resorts and they had "preferred" rooms, which I paid slightly more for.
Are there preferred rooms at CSR?
If so, where are they located?
Has anyone ever been in the Casitas 1000 or 2000 rooms?

Reason I am asking, DH hates to be far from the restaurants. As we have no little children, proximity to pools or the Dig are last on the list. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks:thumbsup2

No, there are no preferred rooms. If you want to be close to El Centro (where restaurants, lounge, gift shop and registration are located), ask for Caistas 1, 2 or 3 or Cabanas 9B (we were in Casitas 3 two years ago for our 25th anniversary trip--upgraded to a suite--and it was less than three minutes to the main building).

We changed our dates slightly (but we are still staying at CSR) because the Red Sox spring schedule starts on Mar 3. So now we will be at CSR Feb 27- Mar 6. We will then head to Bradenton for 3 nights and go to two games in Ft Myers and one game at the new Orioles stadium in Sarasota.
Got our Red Sox tickets yesterday and will get the Orioles game tickets in January.

I have a couple of questions. Are the quiet pools any deeper than the Dig Site pool? We enjoyed the Magnolia pool at SOG with its deeper end. We could jump or dive in.

Since Pepper Market is different than other food courts, does it take longer to get breakfast? I am wondering what time we should eat there before getting to a park at opening. We would probably only do this a couple of times.
Thanks.

I no one end of the quiet pool is deeper than the other, but I couldn't tell you the exact depth.

If you want to make rope drop, I would get to breakfast at 7:00 when they open. Everything is made to order (unless you are getting a bagel or pastry, etc. We've gone at 7:15 or 7:30 and been to the parks just before 9 a.m. What also will determine how quickly you get out of PM is if there is a convention going on and if they are there for breakfast in the morning (personally, we've never had a problem).

Just wondering about if there will be a convention(s) going on when we are there. 12/16-12/23. Can anyone provide a link or name where we can check...I tried doing a search but couldn't find a calender. Thx

Go to the first or second page of this thread and there is a list of the conventions that we are aware of. Please note that these are the ones we found by research or others have informed us of. It is by no means a "complete" list.

I put a room request on our ressie already, do I still need to fax one a few days prior to arrival? I will be 17 wks pregnant so it's a little more important for me to be closer to the lobby area than it was when we made the reservation a few months ago.

TIA.
