We've decided on Coronado Springs for our next trip and we're really excited - have never stayed at CS before. Trying to decide between a preferred room and a water view in the tower. We have some special issues we are dealing with so I would love some input and advice from those of you who know the resort.

We are taking our grown kids and booking 2 rooms. Our daughter has recently started experiencing some health issues that might require that we get her back to the room as quickly as we can. She also is not comfortable staying on a higher floor - say above 5 or 6 floors up. (I know - not rational but it is what it is.) We are hoping for 2 connecting rooms on a lower floor but we understand that those will only be requests, not guaranteed.

What are the pros and cons of the preferred rooms and the tower rooms? And would you recommend one over the other given our daughter's needs?

Thanks in advance.

Given what you've outlined, I'd suggest the preferred rooms. They will be closest to the first drop off (and pick up) for the buses (which is actually called 'bus stop 2'). The tower is beautiful, there's no doubt about that, but nothing prevents you from spending time there...you don't need to be staying there to enjoy it. The preferred rooms are not more than 3 or 4 floors, if I remember correctly...certainly no more than 5, so within the parameters of what your daughter feels safe with. The preferred area is beautiful and even when we stay in the tower, we make time to walk through the preferred area. You can't go wrong at CSR. It is a magnificent resort! As you can see from my signature, we have had lots of positive experiences there. Great Cast Members, beautiful grounds, many dining options. Have a great trip!

I agree with the others. I just stayed at GDT a few weeks ago and it's gorgeous, but given the parameters of your daughter's needs, I would do the preferred room. The resort is gorgeous and you can always visit the tower (the lounge below the lobby is great for cafe con leche!). I think you will enjoy the preferred section.
