I can't decided which location to request. In your opinion which do you like better and why.

Coronado Springs: Casitas, Ranchos, or Cabanas??

I have never stayed there. Our room has a water view.
Also, did you try the Maya Grill? Did you like it?

Thanks for your thoughts!
:thanks:

Our family likes the theme and water fountains of Casitas, but really like the location of Cabanas. We had 2 meals at Maya and the first one was very good and the 2nd was just okay, would still recommend it.

Before my last trip I would have said Casitas, and that is what I requested, but we ended up being placed in the Ranchos section and that is now my favorite location. I liked being a bit further out from all the business of the resort.

I've stayed in Casitas (can't remember which building but it was very close to the bus stop) and Cabanas 9B (Business Class) which was very convenient to both the Dig Site and El Centro. There are other Cabanas buildings that are near 9B that are just as centrally located. I like the look of that section of the resort with the beaches and hammocks.

I've never stayed in Ranchos, but it's my least favorite section as far as the theme. Some of those buildings are very close to the Dig Site though, so that would be nice.

Cabanas is my vote overall.

The Ranchos by far have the best theming IMO. It truly looks deluxe level. That said, many don't like the location of the Ranchos. For me location takes a back seat to theming.

That said, I have never stayed at CS, but visited several times.

We haven't been in many years but we liked the location of building 8B in the cabanas because it was convenient to the the bus stop and the pool. It was not very convenient to food, but few rooms are.

If you can swing I would stay in a preferred in Casitas. Last time we stayed we were stuck in the boonies in Ranchos. Never again.

My vote would be cabanas due to close proximity to el Centro, main pool, etc. We tried maya grill for the first time last month and absolutely loved it!! In our experience the service was excellent and the atmosphere was lovely. We loved the live mariachi music. We all had great meals too...we also love Mexican food.

We have stayed in all three.

Ranchos is our favorite.
Why? Close to the main pool which is very self contained with quick service, mug refill, playground all right there plus it's a great pool with lots of lounges and tables. Ranchos is the most creative, highly imagineered section of the resort and across other resorts as well - looking nothing like where we live so feels exotic. Close to our bus stop. Lovely empty quiet pool. A beautiful walk to the main hub that never took more than 5-6 minutes unless we stopped to look at flowers and wildlife.

Cabanas is second. It's a beautiful space with beaches and a tropical feel. The buildings are more plain but that fits the theme. Huge plus is the location to main hub. Has business class rooms and would gladly book them again, they can be a huge perk.

Casitas our least. They are tall and feel like Florida condominium buildings throughout. Nothing special here. Close to main/convention hub and we see lots of the business folks staying here. The quiet pool is by the fitness center/spa and always seems to be crowded. Plus is first bus stop and MAYBE short walk to hub; some of the far buildings have as long as walk as other sections farthest rooms.
