Coronado or Caribbean? Undecided!

I've stayed at both and CSR would be my pick, no question. CBR has way too many bus stops and is just set up weird with check in/out in a building away from the rest of the resort. Also the food court at CBR is not very good. The food at the Pepper Market at CSR is much much much better!

Coronado gets my vote!

We have booked Business Class this year mainly so that we have a preferred location to El Centro. In the evening, we don't want to have a trek to get drinks because of the kids. If it were just me or just adults, I wouldn't mind the walk.. it is a beautiful resort.

I have been at CBR it was big and here preferred is good only if using pool alot. Buses are everwhere.

I would want to try though CS. Mainly as they have duvets not the. Asry hotel spreads. I am a bed person!!

CSR is really nice. We stayed in Casitas #5 building which wasn't too far from the lobby/eateries or the Dig Site (big pool). There was also a quiet pool between Casitas 1 & 2 buildings I believe. If not it's between 2 & 3. It was pretty quiet for the most part. Only one evening did we hear the conventioneers that were there. The Casitas bus stop is the first of four total bus stops. First to pick up and first to drop off which was nice. Never took that long to get to a park on the buses and we were only on one that was completely full during our 8 day trip. We did go in September though so that more than likely had something to do with it. The beds/bedding were all new at CSR too which was nice. They were really comfortable which is a plus after spending all day in the parks.

We have never stayed at CBR so I can't honestly make a comparison.

Coranado...loved it

The kids can get sodas in the lounge.

We have only stayed at Coronado (10 times in fact). The Caribbean holds no appeal to us at all for a number of reasons; however, we have visited it a number of times.

It cracks me up when people say how large those two resorts are. I have a friend who just stayed at POR-Riverside and she felt "it was bigger" than CSR. I've stayed at the AKL in Kidani and I have never had as long as a walk at Coronado (or roaming the CBR) as we did our room at AKL.

Despite my not having any interest in CBR, for a solo trip I would definitely go with the more "adult" feel of the Coronado.

CBR. Nothing about CSR appeals to me. Not entirely sure why, but it just doesn't seem "fun" to me at all.... CBR is beautiful and peaceful. Pool is awesome. Playground is great. We really enjoy it, and I'm kind of sad not to be staying there again this trip, but this trip's all about the kiddos and we're going AoA for the first time!

I've stayed at CSR 5 times. We like the atmosphere there, how it seems so tranquil and calm. Love the lake views. We've had very good bus service there and our rooms have always been in good condition. The beds are very comfortable.

CBR doesn't appeal to us; we live in Florida and the tropical feeling of the resort doesn't feel unique and different to us. Same for POR/POFQ - very similar to where we live. We love CSR because it is so different from our typical scenery. The Southwest architecture is beautiful.

CSR definitely gets my vote!

We're debating the same thing!

CBR is about £100 cheaper but I love the look of CSR more, especially the rooms.

Personally, I'd choose CSR over CBR. I've stayed at both but just felt that CSR was nicer. The pools were great and even though our room was in Ranchos, I didn't mind the walk to El Centro. The scenery was so beautiful that it made the walk seem faster and DD (2 at the time) loved to stop and look down into Lago Dorado for turtles.

All of that said, POFQ still remains by #1 Mod. Maybe it's because it's where DD and I stayed on her first trip, but the resort just summons up so many wonderful memories. It's beautiful and quaint, everything is a mere 5 minute or less walk, but it's amenities double when you factor in that you are entitled to use everything at POR as well. We used to walk or boat over POR at night for either dinner or a snack but always so DD could see the "horsies!"
