I'm looking at the map of the CSR on allearsnet and am trying to figure out which is closer to El Centro/Pepper Market the first building of the Casitas nearest El Centro or the last building of the Cabanas near El Centro. Theming wise, I think I'd rather be in the Casitas but would like to be close to the Food Court for quick meals, drinks, etc. (I figure it's not so important to be near the Dig Site since we could plan ahead to go there and we'd also be there awhile, plus the Mayan pool has the pool bar which serves food as opposed to being really hungry/thirsty and wanting to get to the Pepper Market fairly quickly). Thanks so much in advance! :)

We stayed in Casitas 1 on our trip, and felt it seemed along way because there was no straight way there. I was travelling with my mother who has mobility problems due to polio. She had difficulty because there are so many levels to get from the Casitas to the main area--across a courtyard, down steps, etc.

We were placed in Cabanas 9B on our last trip. Very close to the El Centro and a nice stroll to Dig Site. Our first stay was at Cabanas 8A, it was kind of far from El Centro, but it was a nice stroll there, but a little closer to Dig Site. I like Cabanas and I have been lucky to get that area twice.

Casita 1 is closer to the restaurants and cabana 9b (or the new numbers 9d & e) is closer to registration and the front lobby.

Where are the smoking permitted rooms? Any in the Casitas?

Casita number 1 is nice because it is attached to El Centro. You can get to El Centro without getting wet if it is raining from Casita 1, unlike the Cabanas. You have to cross a small outdoor bridge to go to El Centro from Cabana 9B.

I can't remember which wing is smoking in the Casitas but I do know Cabana 9A has smoking optional rooms.

Thanks! Need a smoking room, especially without a balcony. I like the casitas the best, and want to be (hopefully) near the food!

Good point about Casitas 1 being attached to El Centro in case of rain. I have a feeling I will be requesting that building the next time we stay there. Thanks again! D4est, I agree - we like to be near the food :)
