Hello All ~ My sister will be honeymooning in Florida and wants to know what's the best way to get to MCO from Cornwall. They are flying. Ottawa? Montreal? Syracuse? Thanks! Sandra

Another vote for Syracuse - from Cornwall it would definitely be the best choice. We live just outside Ottawa and flew from Syracuse in March 2005 (we'll be doing it again in March 2007). It's a nice, small airport and we found it very easy and convenient...plus the price is less than half what we would pay flying from Ottawa!

If you fly from a U.S. city to Florida (i.e. Syracuse) you don't have all those Canadian and U.S. international taxes added on. That's why it can be so much chearper than flying from a Canadian city.

I live about 30 minutes from Cornwall and am also flying out of Syracuse in April. Great savings this way! :cool1: Last time I checked, flying out of Montreal would have cost us $521 each compared to $233CDN each through Syracuse. With 5 of us flying, the savings is well worth the drive there.

I've flown out of Syracuse twice... once being a trip to WDW with the family. It's a breeze to get to Syracuse and the airport is great!! :thumbsup2

Which airlines do you fly from Syracuse? Do you fly non-stop? What is the border like? How long is the drive from Cornwall? What is park-n'fly like? Are there good near-by hotels to the airport? Thanks! Sandra

We are flying Jet Blue non stop out of Syracuse. We cross at the bridge in Johnston or the Thousand Island Bridge, sometimes the wait can be long at the Thousand Island Bridge it gets busy. I think the drive from Cornwall would be about 31/2 hours. I found some great hotels just google "hotels near syracuse airport. There is a great site that lists all the hotels and rates. Some of the hotels don't offer park and ride but you can leave your car in their parking lot and take a taxi to and from the airport. The Comfort Inn does this I think. Hope this helps.:cutie:
