Corey...I can't believe you already have a stroller picked out!

She already talked me out of doing the baby's room in purple and gold, but I guess the stroller will do. ;)

I think the way I am going to find the perfect stroller is by sitting on Main Street. We were in the Magic Kingdom today and I couldn't help but notice all the different stroller options - it's crazy. I am more aware now.

You will be aware of so many things now. You will most likely also notice many more pregnant women than you ever noticed before!:goodvibes

lavendar is a pretty color for a girls room...;)

Magic Kingdom would be a great place to pick out strollers, I bet if you start asking moms they will talk your ear off about the pros and cons of the one they got also... :confused3

They make some with speakers and you can hook your ipod up to it and the baby can listen to the DisUnplugged all the time!

I saw something cute for dad's...it was a vest that was basically a walking diaper bag. The inside of it had all these little pockets for diapers, bottles, etc. Of course, it could also come in handy for smuggling contraband rum on a cruise too... :rotfl:

Love my Maclaren strollers, we have 3 of them, including the double stroller (which I bought on ebay so it wasn't as expensive as in the store). We have two single Maclarens, a Volo and a Triumph which we absolutely LOVE! I recommend Maclarens to all my friends who are having babies. My cousin recently had a baby and got a Quinny which although expensive is a really cool stroller, and very easy to fold up and take around with her. Remember to do the one handed folding test when you test out strollers in the store, because that is how you will be doing it when you have the baby with you!!

Corey and Julie - Congratulations!!!!

The most important thing to get is a good Diaper Bag - makes up for any storage issues that the stoller has - an believe me, most of the smaller and european style strollers don't have any! I have 2 kids, 4 single strollers and 2 doubles and our Outdoor Baby bag is the be-all for a stroller attachment. We've had a lot of people marvel at it. The cool thing about it is that it has these two little straps on the top, side edges of the opening (where the cover flapp meets the back), that allow for you to attach it to the lower back portion of the stroller like a saddlebag. Instantly gives you double the storage and you aren't hanging it off the handles and unbalancing the stroller.

My new favorite is my Quinny Buzz that I got free for attending this year's Ellen DeGeneres Mother's Day show (they gave us over $3000 worth of baby stuff and services  ). The Quinny handlebar adjusts to 4 different adult heights and the body of the stroller is REALLY cushy and EASY TO WASH!

A word on the MacClaren volo - you can't put anyone under 6 months in it, and if they are small, they aren't comfortable until about a year (that's how it worked for my girls).

We also have an Inglesina Zippy - bought off eBay - that is fabulous. Light umbrella style, easy to fold, and fully reclines! Great for the bi-weekly trips tp Disneyland we do!

No matter what you get, really enjoy this time and definitely don't hesitate to go up to mom's at the park if you see strollers or accesories you like - that's what we did!!!!

Yep, Nancy is right about the Volo, forgot to mention that....we use it for my 5 year old when we are in the parks, but I use it for my almost 2 year old when I am home. The other thing about the Volo, it doesn't recline and that is something that you are really going to want to check out with strollers. The things you forget once your kids are not little anymore!!! I also love my diaper bag..its by Skip Hop and it has the smaller handles inside so it attaches to the umbrella stroller better. We also bought the Maclaren bag that goes on the back of the stroller and that has been a great thing. Only thing I wish my strollers had was cup holders!! I know the newer Maclaren's have them, so that's something to look for too!

And lucky you Nancy, I saw those shows and was very jealous of all the stuff you got!!! The Quinny Buzz is the stroller my cousin got and it's really really nice!

I'll second the Skip Hop bags. We have the striped small Saddle Bag for our Jane double. (Yes - I splurged and paid full price for a red Jane and it drives like a dream - no storage, but the handling - turns on a dime!) I also put it down low on my Quinny when we go to DL. I can put my billfold in there, buckle my Outside Baby bag over the Skip Hop and people never see the Skip Hop. I feel safe leaving my personal stuff in the stroller that way. I'll have to take a photo of my arrangement, so I can show folks what I do.

EBay has some great stroller accessories designed for the higher-end and cupholder free models. We've picked up a couple great options for parent beverages and also to go on the bar in front. (Why they think high-dollar stroller buyers don't need cupholders for their kids drinks, too, is beyond me!) I gues that's part of sacrificing function over design....

Disney is the ultimate stroller testing ground!
Look for sturdy, but lightweight models that you can collapse with one hand. Most better strollers have front wheels that turn these days, makes turning much easier when you don't have to lift the front wheels to pivot.

Oh, its a whole new world, have fun!

One stroller isn't enough anymore... not for those of you "on the go!"
You'll need:
** the easy, lightweight, collapsible one (that collapses long-ways),

**then the "comfy" one (as my kids called it) into which the infant carseat drops into... SO great when baby is asleep in the carseat and you don't want to wake him/her to transfer to the stroller. Doubles as the luxury one when they no longer need the infant seat. They collapse too, just into kinda a square shape.

**And then the "jogger" type for tough terrain or actual jogging.

However, for the first few months, especially if you are nursing, I recommend a sling. I took my DS at 5 months to WDW for 10 days, it was so convenient to just "wear" him! Front packs are great too. Oh, and then there is the back pack when they are a bit bigger for dad to wear.

Whew! Are you ready for all this?? We haven't even started in on the pack-n-play and high chair. After all this investment, you might as well have a few more little ones!;)

Congrats again!!

Oh yes, I second this. I was really not sure about it (seemed kind of 'Earth Mother' for this yuppie girl), but I loved my sling. Hardly ever used the Baby Bjorn because the children liked the sling better. The greatest thing about it is you can use it into their toddler years to help support them while carrying. It was one of my most prized, take it everywhere with us child items.

Look, if you really want to get the BEST deal, just rent one from WDW every day . . . . :confused3
