Arrived at 9 pm for our 9:20 reservation. Was seated with in 5 minutes. Asked for a aquarium seat and advised that we were willing to wait for one. Did get the middle row so had a very decent view.
Michelle was our server and she was very professional and knowledgeable. She offered tips on ordering and the questions that she was asked by the kids she answered very well for them. Even got my son to try a Caesar salad and he is still in the hot dog only stage.
I myself ordered the Caesar salad and that was brought fairly quickly and was very good. Salad was crisp and not over covered with dressing. I followed that up with a New York Strip which I ordered medium. Steak was more medium well but still had a very good taste to it. Followed that up with the cheesecake which did not really stand out.

Over all I always like the coral reef and they lived up to what I expected.

Again just want to say the our serve Michelle was terrific.

thanks for review, we are going to eat there for lunch next month. We have never eaten there, and I don't really even know where it is, so it will be a new experience for sure!:thumbsup2

Coral Reef was my favorite dinner of our whole trip. My hubby had the New York Strip and loved it. I had the salmon and it was amazing.

We did the candelight package so it took two of my sit down service credits, the food was not good, my fish made me sick that night and the next day also. My husband ordered steak and said it was really thin and didn't have a good taste. The desert was ok, nothing like Le Cellier that we went to a couple nights later. We were in the middle of the restaurant and could not see the fish that well. Overall I would not recommend Coral Reef and will not be going back. I was told over the phone to take the reservation and I was really lucky on getting it because our trip was just a few short days after I made it and I wished now I would have never booked it, esp after being sick.
I loved Ohana diner and breakfast, Le Cellier was great and Whispering Canyon was great also.

I love CR -- it is one of my few favorite places to eat at WDW. We eat here around 10 times a year (sometimes more). At least twice every trip.

CR is one of the kids favorite restaurants, we always have a really great meal there and the desserts IMO are great. Last time we were there we had the NY strip (kind of ironic since we love seafood) and it was excellent. For dessert we ordered 3 chocolate waves and 1 jack daniels mousse and we all enjoyed it very much.

We had a great lunch at Coral Reef earlier in Dec. 2010. One of the better dining experiences. We were happy to get a table right against the window of the aquarium. DS (and we!) loved watching the fish and sea turtles. Food was very good, no complaints. I like seafood too but for had an urge to try the NY Strip since it gets great reviews. Relaxing meal, like the decor. Can't remember our waitress's name but she gave great service and shared some information with us about the aquarium.

I haven't finished my review yet but I did write a little bit and posted pics. Here's the link. http://www.disboards.com/showpost.php?p=39323137&postcount=10
