I am so glad that you posted this. I have seen only negative reviews lately. We are having dinner at Coral reef on our last night. I would hate to have our last memory be of a horrible resturant.

Coral Reef was my favorite meal on our last trip; we had wonderful food and service. I liked it even more than Le Cellier.

Thanks for posting this...We will be eating here (as well as a few other new places) and have heard bucnhes of negative reviews...Glad I decided to keep it ;)

Thanks for the post.. we have ADRs there for our July trip and was hoping that the nonfish eaters would have something wonderful to eat..

Yes it is sooo good. and how about that Chocolate Wave ahh delicious. yummy!! Loved it. I don't know how people give it bad rating. definite place to go!!!!

Thread hijack alert!!!!! Just kidding but I do have a question for those that have been to Coral Reef before. We have a dinner ADR at 4:30, is it possible for a family of 5 to try and wait to get a 'window' seat? I don't know about the rest of you but I am feeling like I am missing out on quite a few things because we are a family of 5.

Try to get there about 15 minutes early and ask very nicely to be on the lowest level. 4:30 is the first seating time, I think, so that should improve your chance. I *think* the "window" seats are all 4 tops but the booths are better and they sit 5 or 6 easily. Booths sit you so you face the tank (tables sit you sideways to it) and the window tables are so close you only see a small portion of the tank, a little farther back (booths) gives you a nicer vantage point.

Thank you so much. I will do just that.

Sorry, but you can not sit at the window with a party of 5. The tables at the window are for parties of 2 or 4. Unless you break your party up, don't get your hopes up. However, they could put you in the booth directly in front of the window (across from the tables next to the window). We are often a party of 2 and almost always are put at the window. I doubt that they would put a chair at the end of the table since it is the walk way for the servers and guest. Good luck.

I second the chocolate wave desert! It is to DIE for!!! And you can ask for the recipe!! (Our server gave it to us)

We ate there last January and got a window seat for two. The service, appetizers, view, and seafood for excellent. My steak however was very tough. It was cooked a perfect medium rare though. My wifes seafood entree was supurb. While we aren't going there on our upcoming trip we will be sure to visit in the future.

As the pp suggested I am going to try and get a booth. I guess I am just really upset because everything is geared towards families of 4 only. No value resorts plus so many other things. I have even received some frustrated sighs when I call for dining.

I am always glad to see a positive Coral Reef review as it is my favorite TS in all of WDW and I don't even eat fish or meat as I am a vegetarian. A lovely restaurant with great food, service and ambients. I hope all those on the fence about it try it at least once.

Thumbs up for Coral Reef. We had a window seat, only a family of 3. The booths were great and had nice views too. Sitting as close as we did, we missed out on the big picture view. My 12yo ds loves aquariums and we had a "pet" fish that stared at us the entire dinner, we named him/her Rosie after our dog who is the queen of begging, LOL!

Have fun:banana:

I too am sooo relieved hearing some good reviews of the coal reef. My DH and I are huge seafood eaters, so I figured I couldn't pass it up but got nervous after reading some of it's hate mail :goodvibes
