My daughter will be turning 5 during our trip and we have many character meals planed, butI thought it would be cool to go to Coral Reef and have them hold the birthday sign up for her. Is this place worth using a dining plan credit on and would a 5 year old think this is a cool place? Thanks

I am returning to WDW in August and it will be over my middle sons 8th birthday..after reading tons of reviews and looking at menu's on allearsnet.com I decided on Whispering Canyon for his birthday breakfast and CRT for dinner..we are going to be in the MK that day. Many restaurants do a nice job for birthdays...The Coral Reef is great..BUT I didn't like the menu for my kids..plus I read that if you do not get a table next to the tanks the kids really do not enjoy it..you can not be guaranteed a table by the tanks..I would suggest for her age..chef Mickeys (they get special place mats and a lot of character interaction, O'Hana's (They sing and put the birthday kids in front of the Konga line) or Whispering Canyon...I heard that is really fun for a birthday. Have a great time! ;)
