This maybe common knowledge on this board but I thought I would post in case it isn't. We were at the Coral Reef for Dinner on Sunday 10/13. We had a delicious meal and a wonderful server. I was very unhappy with our table however. We have eaten there several times and have never gotten seated down next to the Tank. It really is not a good location. The view is awsome but the people are rude. While you are eating people come right over and lean over your table.
Also I realize that in DW there are lots of children who are young. We were seated behind the most rude children I have ever seen in my life. A family of 5 celebrating a birthday of 2 of there children let them run around like they were in McDonalds and the 7 year old actually tried to grab the video camera out of my husband hand while he was filming. The parents didn't even apologize. These same folks let the children walk freely around the restaurant without shoes on. It was very weird to say the least.
The meal was wonderful and our servers were great. The poor man didn't know what to say to us about the adjacent family. He did however get them out as quickly as he could. So I thought I would warn those of you who are going to partake of a meal at the Coral Reef you may want to let the CM know you would prefer a table away from the tank if they are going to seat you on the first level of the viewing area.

Disneydenise- My kids' feet were hot from all the walking I made them do! Of course they took off their shoes! I don't belive in renting carriages unless I fit in them!
As far as the video camera goes, your DH was doing it all wrong! My little one just wanted to show him the proper way to tape fish swimming around. You should have thanked us.
On the way out our server apologized for any inconvience you may have caused us!

(just in case no one is aware I am just joking. That was not me at the Coral Reef. I only have one DD and she is only allowed to go barefoot at the Prime Time Cafe
;) )

Unlike your experience, our lunch at Coral Reef(tank seating) was terrific. We ate there in July with my DD's(9 yrs.,8 yrs. and 14 month old). The children were all fascinated with the tank and the divers were feeding the fish right in front of our window. I would definitely request tank window seating again!

I think all the tables have a view of the tank and you should be able to see fish and other aquatic life from any table I just thought that being next to the tank was uncomfortable. It was really the people hanging over our table that made it unpleasant. I would never have let my children interupt anyones dinner. I wouldn't have even cared if they were merely standing near the table and looking but they were leaning on the table right next to our plates. I do think that the tank is very entertaining and enjoyable. I think that some people like to get up close and personable and I don't like that when I am eating. As I said I would eat there again I would just make sure I am seated at table that faces the tank but isn't located directly next to the tank.
