I would love to hear any comments about the ground floor CC studios. I have an upcoming reservation in December, and according to the room map, have a high probability of being on the ground floor.

Are they convenient to get into/ out of? Do you here outside noise? Are they dedicated? TIA.

I’m going to guess you have a tub studio. The room map that has been posted in the CCV thread shows that almost all the Tub Studios are dedicated and on the first floor. Based on that map too (and my understanding) if you end up with a studio from a lockoff you’ll be getting a Alternate Studio and more likely on an upper floor so that’s a really good trade off if you lose a dedicated.

Also they are very convenient to run to Geyser Point and such as you can leave from the patio (but obviously can’t lock it up). As for wanting to leave and lock up it’s super convenient too because you don’t have to worry about steps or elevators.

The noise will be louder with odd numbered rooms (those that face the courtyard) so if you want a quieter room I’d suggest asking for an even numbered room (facing BRV) however your view on that side is mostly a wall (but it’s not right on top of you)

Yes we have the tub/shower combo studio. I did make a request high floor facing courtyard ( I think) in hopes of getting an alternate room. But the odds the way they are, I’m preparing for the ground floor. Great to hear they are ok!

We had a CCV studio first floor for a week last xmas. We were bummed about the view, however quickly realized that being able to walk out the doorwall to get coffee/fill mugs when the beverage station opened up at Geyser Point was a great perk to first floor (we faced BRV). We ended up liking it!

So glad to read this. We have never had a ground floor room. Trying to think of the positives, no elevator wait, easy walk to Geyser Point Grill. We will be visiting the same time.
