I’m torn between these 2 resorts for a Holiday trip Nov/Dec. I’m one of those people that cares about room views. Has anyone stayed in either one of these 1 bedroom Villas (RR or CCV) where you loved your view? Would appreciate any room numbers and any view photos shared ❤️❤️ Im really interested in the standard view rooms at RR bc some seem to have Epcot/fireworks views. At Copper Creek i think there dont seem to any rooms looking at anything particularly interesting, but would still love some insight into where Id like to make a room request and see what we’d be looking at. (Im very aware that Disney may not honor the request, only try to accommodate me if they can). I will say I did get lucky on my last room request @ Poly & got what i wanted! Im torn between these 2 bc i love the rooms better at RR, but the WL during Christmas seems like its so beautiful!!

I had a 2BR lockoff at CCV when it first opened. Unfortunately, I cannot remember the room number but I do recall the lackluster view of the area where owners can take their service dogs for relief. I believe it was on the 3rd floor. However, there are quite a few rooms that have very pretty views of trees and walkways.

Judging by your post, I'm guessing that you're either a DVC member who does not own at either resort, or someone interested in renting. If you're renting, I would say that you have a better chance of getting RIV preferred view 1BRs in December vs anything at CCV or standard views at RIV. November after Thanksgiving thru the first couple of weeks in December is a very popular time period for DVC owners and CCV is especially in high demand. I would be surprised if anything more than a couple of consecutive nights are available at CCV and chances are good that RIV standard view is also booking up many nights during that timeframe.

We stayed in a CCV 1 bedroom overlooking the garden/falls area just before the main pool. Room 5125. I really liked it. We even had an obscured view of MK fireworks (could see some over the top of the WL building directly across from us). We could see some of Bay Lake and the geyser in the distance. We had originally requested a NW facing room, which was close, but I think would have been closer to the lake. The opposite side (SE) would have faced the DVC pool and/or trees, which honestly I would have been happy with too.

Well, the WL at Christmas is unbeatable! Depending on location, you could possible see Magic Kingdom/fireworks on a high floor.

I stay at RIV all the time and love the SV rooms for the fireworks. I am doing a PV for the first time next week and excited to see how I feel with what I get to compare.

For resorts, I do think you are going to get the Xmas vibe at CCV than RIV…
