I make copies of the following items before my trip:
WDW tickets
airline tickets
credit cards (front and back)
passports
DVC membership card etc etc
Drivers licence
I place these items in a sealed envelope with some tape accross the seal and with my signature on the seal (can you tell I used to work in a bank). I leave this in my suitcase as a safety backup just in case my handbag/carryon or wallet is misplaced. Because it is safely sealed I can be sure that noone has opened it (I can see if the seal has been disturbed) and when I do arrive at the hotel I place this in the safe. Having copies of these key items gives me peace of mind should I actually lose the originals while on my trip - I can then quickly call the necessary places with my details rather than trying to track down numbers etc.
