I am new here (lurk but never posted) and I am sure I read this somewhere but I cannot find it. Does Hard Rock Hotel allow you to take coolers in the room? We thought about doing this instead of paying the $15/day for a fridge. It wouldn't be a styrofoam cooler, but rather a bigger Igloo type cooler. (we will go the styrfoam route if need be) Also, can you take your own microwave or toaster? Thanks for the help.

we were at HRH 2 weeks ago. We brought styrofoam cooler and even had to store it for a few hours, no problem at all. We brought a case of beer & 12 pack of soda, I don't think a regular cooler would be a problem. We even saw a few people with the medium coolers on wheels, walking around the park with them.
Don't know about toaser or microwave....they do have small coffee pot in room. have fun.

We had a big cooler with us when we went. I wasn't planning on staying on Club Level...so I packed enough drinks and milk for 8 days. The staff in the lounge said it would even be okay to take a few beers back to our room and leave them in the cooler for later in the night for when the kids went to sleep.(which was awesome), and we were able to keep our bottle of wine nice a cold. When we went over to the Wilderness Lodge we sat on our balcony and drank it while we watched the EWP!!!

So yes...you can bring a cooler without hesitation!!

I took a rolling cooler, and when we checked in the bellhop took in my cooler and 2 12 packs of pop. Every morning I would roll it down to the ice machine and refill it with ice. Worked great and no one cared at all. Even went to the super target up I-4 and got milk and cereal and donuts and juice.

We were asked to remove our cooler from the pool area 5/27. We covered it with a towel, but we didn't keep it that long after we were asked to remove it.

We had a medium sized soft sided cooler could probably hold a 12 pack that we brought down to the pool. No one told us anything. We mixed our own Margaritas pool side. In fact the lifegaurd sat and chatted with us a while. They closed the pool while we were sitting there because someone doodied in the pool so the lifegaurds didn't have to watch the pool and they didn't tell us anything about the cooler. We even brought the ice bucket down from the room.

Hey prncess674- They had to close the pool on us for the same reason. Was it sunday, 5/25 when they closed the pool on you?

yes that was the day we were at the pool.

and say that we were there on 5/25 also! We were the idiots that had just come back from US and allowed our kids to hop in the pool before we even noticed that nobody else was in the pool!:o  I think that they were about to open it back up shortly, but I took my kids straight to the room and threw them in the shower to be sure to get the chemicals off quickly.;)

Oh - and to answer the original poster's question - we also carried in our cooler to our room. Ours is a good size one that we can plug in.:)

Thanks for the responses. I think we will take a cooler and use it for milk, soda, beer, etc. It sounds much cheaper than buying the stuff at the hotel.

Never tried a microwave, but have taken a cooler and a toaster. we make toast and have even done toaster waffles in the room in the morning. i figure we buy lunch and dinner every day, so i save a little on breakfast.
