HELP!!!
I am the mom of a soon to be 17 year old young woman. She will be 17 when we take our trip in July.
I have some special things that I am planning for my DS 6 like the pirate cruise, hair cut at the MK barber shop, etc. But I can't think of anything for DD.
We are staying offsite so the things will need to be planned when we are out together, she can't drive herself around in the rental car...
Any suggestions would be great!

DisneyQuest is very fun, I'm a girl and I love it. Downtown Disney is really nice too, you don't have to buy anything but just being there makes me happy.
Let her go around the parks on her own if she wants too.
There's also (I think?) some outlets outside of Disney that she might be interested in.

Next time you go, if you do go, I'd definitely look into stay on-site. The value resorts can be pretty affordable if you know where to look. You also get a bunch of perks like store to room shipping, extra magic hours, etc.

Thanks for the idea. I will look more closely at Disney Quest.
We have been many times and stayed at various on site places. We wanted to try something different this trip. Plus she gets her own bedroom-privacy.

Let her shop in World Showcase if she enjoys shopping. There are a lot of stores to choose from. Give her some space to browse around the parks on her own. Teens enjoy that freedom.

I'm a teen (boy) and I would love to just adventure around the park with some friends if they came... I agree with everything stated above... but what do I know.

Yeah Disney Quest is fun. The World Showcase too has so many shops and restaurants. Just give her her space. Let her do stuff on her own as well as stuff with the family.

Hey,
I'm a 17 year old girl and was just at Disney (December) so I thought I may be of some help...
I enjoy walking around the parks shopping sometimes, if I don't want to be with my family.
Another fun thing to do is parasailing over at the Contemporary. One year I did it alone (my mom was on the boat too) and last year I did it with my mom because of the weather plus it was something I wanted my mom to do too.
Or maybe a tour. Those take a few hours though, but maybe you could do one as a family? I've always wanted to take a tour, but they are never running when I'm there (Christmas time)
Hope that helps!

Thanks for the great suggestions. She is a shopper and it helps that she works and is saving her own money for souvies!!!
Parasailing is a great idea, my daughter likes to take risks!
Thanks again!
