cool family traditions at Disneyland?

We always have my DD picture taken with her "brick" in the plaza to show how much she has grown each trip and then also take her picture on the "C" of California in the plaza.

Small world is always a must ride, no matter the season or the line.

You have a brick! How neat! :thumbsup2

C is always busy. We got stuck with an L last time! :rotfl:

No special picture spot.

We must always get an ice cream cone. We used to go to Main Street but now we go to Burr Bank Ice Cream in CA. Mine must be mint choc. chip. We also just discovered how yummy the peanut brittle is, so now that will become another "tradition". Like someone said, it does seem to revolve around food! :cool1:

I have a picture of my sister and I as children on the steps of the Treehouse, back when it was the Swiss Family Robinson version. Every trip DH and I take, we always try to get a picture of all of the kids on the steps, which is sometimes difficult when it gets busy. The picture always turns out to be one of the best pictures of our trip.

We also take a picture of the kids on the curb in front of the castle, and they all get new Disney shirts for our trip. I want to make the tie-dye ones that are shown on another recent thread!

My parents, who live near DL, have some fun traditions too. They always watch the fireworks from the top of the Mickey parking garage so they can get away afterward before the crowds. And my dad and I used to close down the park when I was a teenager. We'd hop on the PeopleMover right before DL closed to squeeze out an extra 20 minutes before they made us go home!

"You can't have everything -- besides, where would you put it all?"

Our family tradition is this: Always go to Goofy's Kitchen at least once every trip!

My b-day tradition is always having brunch at Goofy's Kitchen.
DLR vacation traditions: Staying at GCH.
Normal visit traditions: Watching the fireworks from Main Street. Humming along to the MS tunes. Getting FPs for Indy, whether or not we use it. Looking at the time board when we don't know what to do. Go on Pirates and HM. Being the official screamer on HM in the Stretching Room- I'm definately not one of the amateur ones. ;) Going on Pooh right after HM bc it's always short. And going into Pooh Corner after the ride. Everything else is just improvised!

Our family tradition started when our kids were litttle.

On the very first day (no matter what time it is!) we head straight to the Red Wagon Cart at the end of Main Street and we all order Corn Dogs! We sit at the Plaza Inn and eat our corn dogs, chips and cokes and soak it up that once again we are in Disneyland!

It is a beautiful thing...we look over the crowds, the castle and enjoy the moment!

We leave in less than 2 weeks and I cannot wait for my corn dog!:yay:

Well as a kid I remember watching the Main St Electrical Parade. We always had a front row seat, it was always hot and someone was always crying or whining. Usually my brother...funny how things never change! :rotfl2:

We would then stop by the Main St. Bakery for something sweet on our long walk back to the parking garage. Those memories are so precious to me, guess I never thought how much they would really mean!

Now, I'm about to take my son for the first time and I just can't wait to give him those same experiences. :lovestruc
