Can someone help me with an easy way to cook pork tenderloin? I am not a good cook and have never made this but I agreed to host a dinner for 12. When I agreed they said that the food would be provided and I thought that I would just be hosting. Instead they just delivered four loaf looking things of pork tenderloin and a packet of dry rub. No directions, nothing and I don't have a clue. Any help would be appreciated. I have tried google and various links talk about slicing (before cooking?) or pan searing and other ideas that look very complicated.

By the way all of this tenderloin (4 loaves) was provided to feed 12 middle school aged girls. That seems like a lot for a girls only meal.

I would just pan sear them (which I do with all roasts and meats that will go into the oven because it helps keep the juices in), then put them into the oven on 350. I'm not sure how long, but take a meat thermometer after about 20-25 minutes and make sure it's at least 150F in the thickest part of the roast.

It's weird they came with no instructions.

I make pork tenderloin about every other week because it is so easy and quick. I just rub some olive oil on it, season with salt and pepper (sometimes garlic and rosemary), and roast at 425 for 20-25 minutes. You don't want to overcook, or it dries out. Then again, middle schoolers might not care!

I let it sit about 5 minutes and then slice.

Good luck!

Are the 4 loaves in plastic or have you opened them already? If you haven't opened it yet when you do, you will likely have 2 pieces in each wrapper. So your 4 roasts could really be 8. Pork tenderloins are small though.

The easiest way for you to prepare them is to rub the seasoning packets you were given onto each roast with a little olive oil. Place them in a roasting pan side by side and just bake them. Bake at 375 for 45 minutes. Don't allow the roasts to overlap each other if they do use 2 pans.

Allow them to rest for 5-10 minutes in the oven (shut off) and then slice them against the width.

Your end result should look similar to this. You can also BBQ the roasts if you like.

I put it in a crock pot and cover it with salsa verde (green sauce). After it cooks all day, I use two forks to shred it. My boys eat it just like that, DH and I make sandwiches with swiss cheese.

I use Paula Deen's marinade for pork tenderloin, but cooking with a dry rub would be the same process. I swear by my meat thermometer. I cook mine until it reads 160 degrees in the thickest part (my DH hates pink pork). I don't have good luck just going by time. I usually cook mine at 375. Let it rest for 5-10 min. My kids love it.
