I'm watching "All American Festivals" on the Travel Channel. This show features the Alpine Dutch Oven Cook-Off in Wyoming. The food looks wonderful! I searched Google for information on cooking with dutch ovens and found this website. It has lots recipes for cooking outdoors and sells a variety of campfire cookware. The Campfire Cooking tab includes sections for "Foil Cookery" and "Pie Iron Cooking". Yum!

LOVE outdoor cooking. You want another great Dutch oven site, it's Dutch Oven Madness. The gal who does the blog has been cooking every day this year in her DO. There are some days that I'm impatiently waiting for her to post the next recipe! (Obsessive, me? Never.)

It is definately an art. One of our local state campgrounds has a dutch oven cook off a couple of times a year. It is amazing what they can do with one of those things.
