Hi, I was planning on sending gift baskets to some out-of-state friends this year, and was hoping to includes some cookies or candy (or crackers). Do any of you all have some good recipes for food gifts that ship well, and don't get stale too fast? Thanks in advance! :)

I have shipped the peanutbutter blossoms and they hold up well. They are the peanutbutter balls that you press a hershey kiss in when they come out of the oven.

Hope this helps

Thanks, Dee, that's good to know. Although, I'm kinda fond of those, so I doubt many would make it into the mail!

I was also wondering if fudge keeps well? Or does it have to be refrigerated? I have a recipe for Latte fudge that sounds kinda good, but I don't know if it would spoil.

A couple of years ago I sent chocolate & white fudge to our military friend who was in Saudi Arabia. It arrived fine, but it didn't last long :)!

My Mom makes fudge every year. It holds up very well.

sugar cookies
chocolate chip
peanut butter (try skippy peanut butter cookies! yum)

That reminds me, my brother is overseas...maybe I'll send him something!

I think fudge would work too. My friend and her mom always make tiger bark...mmm, I believe that would travel well too!

What's Tiger Bark? How do you make it?

Thanks
