Okay...so we're not talking "Mickey" here....sorry, but this little tyke is crazy about the Cookie Monster and wants his birthday party that theme. Everything I found so far, is just all the Sesame characters, not monster alone. I did find napkins with that are just blue with his smile and eyes...but nothing else. I'm going to make a "Pin the eyes on CM game" myself...but does anyone have any other ideas? I checked out Family Fun under cookie monster but didn't see anything. Games, cake, decorations...any ideas out there? :confused3 Thanks....Barb

I would serve a great big chocolate chip cookie instead of cake. We used to have a Cookie Factory around here that decorated cookies. Check out the Birthday Express website. They tend to have more than is in the catalog. If you cannot find decorations with just Cookie Monster, you could decorate with blue everything. I hope you can find what you need, it sounds like fun!

I'd still have a cake so that there are candles to blow out, but what about a make-your-own-cookie party? You can get ready-to-bake cookies from Nestle that are pretty big. Bake them before hand, then give the kiddos some icing, sprinkles, etc. to decorate with. Even better - Cookie Monster blue icing!

You may also be able to pick up lots of generic blue-colored party favors - and make sure you have lots of bright blue balloons. Have kids decorate brown paper bags with blue yarn and craft-store eyes (or white construction paper circles and black construction paper) to create Cookie Monster puppets. Then they can put their goodies in the bag to take home with them.

If there aren't "Cookie Monster" tablewear, just use royal blue. Maybe there are some stickers that can spiff them up.

M&Ms lets you order one-colored candy on their website, and you could get bright blue ones (maybe some white ones too).

You can have them play "duck duck goose" but call it "cookie cookie monster"

Play musical chairs with Sesame Street music

Go online to see if there are any party ideas at sesamestreet.com

Generally, at most of the parties we've been too the kids just want to run around and play.

Sounds like a cute idea for a party!

I had a cookie monster party when I turned 3. The cake was a round cookie monster face eating half a cookie with cookies around the side. I think it would be easy to do, blue, black, and white icing with a few cookies.

activities and games
Back then cookie monster was more available so my parents were able to find a cookie matching game but you might be able to make one.
Also you could play name that cookie
make cookie monster masks for the kids to wear
teach the new cookie monster with his guide for better eating.

As far as decor ebay has some inflatable cookies for bdays. THey stand about 4' tall. I also googled cookie monster party and found a few sites that sell cookie supplies http://www.celebratetheday.biz/cm.html
blue streamers, balloons, have your child color paper cookies and hang them from the ceiling.

For invites you can print them at sesameworkshop.org

Good luck. I must say other than my barbie doll cake it was one of my favorite bdays of all time. I also love looking at the photos. Cookie was always my favorite on the street.

Years (many) ago I did a Sesame Street party with Cookie being the main character. The decorations had all the characters then I found a cake pan that was Cookie (Wilton) and I made the cake, to this day it remains one of my favorites. It used a frosting tip that made the shaggy looking fur/frosting.

I love your idea of a pin the eyes on the CM - also you could do a craft :artist: Get the royal blue plates and give the kids the Google eyes and they can make their own CM.

Ahhh the memories, have a great party................

Ok, I'll admit it..............I'm a nerd and love researching stuff online to find things for people! :teeth: Anway, I found the following site and they have Cookie Monster napkins, balloons, and a 3 year old Cookie Monster candle (not sure if there are other ages). If I find more I'll post it on the board. Here's the link:

Oh, and if you go to ebay and type in "cookie monster party", it pulls up all sorts of stuff, including personalized Cookie Monster invitations!

Alright, I found one last thing..............a Cookie Monster cake pan on ebay. Here's the link:
